Great stories for different types of women suffering and had no control or choice over their lives. I’m sure there were women like the main character but may not able to survive strongly like Yangi. I know this is just a drama in the old time. But I believe these women stories still happen now. This drama actually can give a good example or show as a role model that women can do better and live the life they want especially we are in the modern world now.
This drama has some pretty gruesome scenes which I can't.watch. Too cruel and horrific and this one is just too sad. Poor Shengyi, lured back to her good for nothing husband only to be humiliated again and again.. She had the guts to kill him but could no longer bear to live anymore, so ends her own life. It's a pity she didn't accept Mudan's help. Low self esteem was impossible to overcome by Shengyi.
The headgear must have been very heavy! How could they bear to.wear it all day?? We're lucky aren't we to be living in this era without such restraints?
