This game gathered so many players from the previous releases that CSO Malaysia/Singapore had to shut down due to the lack of active players and massive cheating problems. They later renamed it to Counter-Strike Nexon: Studio when they released a built-in map editor but to make a long story short to anyone trying the game for the first time, keep in mind it is still CS1.6 with too much new content and overpowered weapons that got out of hands in an extremely outdated game engine. Counter-Strike Online 2 was an attempt to bring Counter-Strike Online to the new century by upgrading the graphics while keeping the core of the game which has always been the variety of game modes and weapons.
CSO China is not even Closed yet it's still Playable and it was Published by TianCity instead. Little didn't you know CSO China is the only CSO With most Players compared to CSO Korea or even Nexon: Studio
The reason why CS Nexon Studio is running on the original Half Life engine it's because it was made by Nexon Korea and Valve in 2007, named as "Counter-Strike Online", it was only available to Asian Countries until 2014 when it got released on Steam. Counter-Strike Online 1 and CS Nexon Studio are basically the same game (and it's not shut down 10:18). The Port of CS to the Original Xbox is really good, they did a really good job making the controls good for a controller. My favorite CS is CS Condition Zero (The Original not the Deleted Scenes).
There is a Counter-Strike before 1.6. It used to be a mod in Half Life. I clearly remember we used to play it in LAN cafes. The mod was originally developed in 1999, before Valve hired the developers, acquiring the IP rights and releasing the game as a separate franchise in 2000.

Counter Strike 1.6 does not have an active bot mode, but you can add the files to add bots and their corresponding commands. i do not know if it works now because after an update, all of the mods i used got fucked up, including the bots
That's why you have to use the legacy version of CS1.6 and Half-Life for the bots to work. For now, that's the only way. It's a shame because Valve missed the chance to include bots officially to CS1.6 with the Half-Life anniversary update. I don't know what they were thinking.

I played condition zero against bots for 4 years and made my own too later. They helped me with info and aim training before csgo. Also for CSO2 you can actually mod your CSS game to become CSO2 to like 50%. I have done it and tested it. Quite fun.

I love cs condition zero deleted scenes. I’ve played it several times. The last map with the “boss” and the helicopter was crazy hard. Everything leading up to that isn’t too hard but damn! You get a m249 and a semi automatic sniper and the boss barely dies from 2 full mags to the head. And that chopper, don’t get me started!

The Devs killed CS Nexon zombies by making it OpenGL only which made potato PC players unable to even access it or their accounts, it was actually really enjoyable even with all the P2P and it had a touch of variety that no other CS game has ever had.
I played counterstrike on the Xbox 360 and it definitely wasn’t just a direct port of csgo, maybe a very old version of it if anything. I enjoyed playing it when I didn’t have a good pc or just offline

The Devs killed CS Nexon zombies by making it OpenGL only which made potato PC players unable to even access it or their accounts, it was actually really enjoyable even with all the P2P and it had a touch of variety that no other CS game has ever had.
I played counterstrike on the Xbox 360 and it definitely wasn’t just a direct port of csgo, maybe a very old version of it if anything. I enjoyed playing it when I didn’t have a good pc or just offline

I played the hell out of cs for OG Xbox. It was great because Xbox live came with a mic, so everyone was voice chatting during a time where that wasn’t very common
The version of CS1.6 after 2024 cant add a single bot now, but CSCZ Still can do it by create a Multiplayer Server.
