RIP Nokie and Gerry. Gerry died in October of 2019 4 days after collapsing on stage.

Personally, when talking about The Ventures, I prefer Nokie, just because I like his style and I think it match and enhance The Ventures' style nicely. I also like Gerry, but I prefer his solo albums in that case. And I still wonder why he changed the spelling of his name; in the 1970's it was always Jerry McGee, what was wrong with that?

Ha, your English is better than mine and I'm a native speaker. Nokie had a smoother style and economy of movement, more jazz influenced I'd say. Gerry's style was more rhythmic and every bit as rich. Each had a splendid career.
@@SuperGTRman Was that a quote from Gerry himself? If so, it was Gerry all the time, even though the 1968-1970 Ventures albums said Jerry? Well, I can buy that. Sometimes things aren't what they look like, apparently. Thanks for the information.
