Bournemouth/Poole never had BBC local radio nor did Portsmouth. They’re always lumped into a regional station based in Southampton in spite of having matching populations , their own identities & the ‘ Solent area’ being a non existent entity unlike Humberside Tyneside Teeside or Merseyside .The older folk in Bournemouth/Poole & Portsmouth have always felt it a radio media injustice to always have had to follow behind 30miles distant Southampton whilst 50 miles from Bournemouth Pier lies the Channel Islands with a handful of citizens yet worthy of a separate station each. This has never added up to me ☹️
A Wonderful excerpt from the BBC we have something similar in Australia out ABC was modeled on the BBC we Radio National covered all Australia,And ABC coverage all the Australian states but listen the 100 Years of BBC you have much more variety,I really enjoy the Program We Have lost Short Wave service due budget cuts from the Pervious Conservative Government I thank god have gone.
Absolutely brilliant A great update on your excellent 90 year.version. These have inspired me so much I'm currently working on a four hour project of music and pictures to play as background at a celebration, next year, of what would have been my father's 100th and my mother's 90th birthdays. We are also celebrating an 80th,60th,50th,30th and 20th. Thanks again for all your very hard work

the only two thing i didnt hear was a mention of BBC Radio Hereford & Worcester
