It's unlikely that Twila will be recording again. She will be 62 soon. She has not recorded an album since 2007, and even that one ("Small Sacrifice") was only available on her own web site. Twila is truly anointed. I remember attending a live concert just a few days after the 9/11 tragedy. She closed the concert by speaking a few words of comfort and encouragement, then closed with her song "God Is In Control." What a blessing that was.
Hi Bob, I liked the color drawing near the end of the video, of Jesus holding a kneeling man, with an angel on the left side. I kind of imagine Heaven to be this way, that we live our lives, run when needed, & aim for the golden treasure in the skies.

I'm 67 myself, and I do really like the modern music (Chris Tomlin, Francesca Battistelli, Lauren Daigle, Casting Crowns, etc.), but I wish they'd have more balance and mix in some of the artists that paved the way, like Twila Paris, Amy Grant, Keith Green, Sandi Patti, Darlene Zschech, Rich Mullins, Jaci Velaquez, etc. And perhaps throw in a few non-modernized traditional hymns once in a while.
it is amazing, after hearing this song, how often I began finding words like "run," "the race," "testing" "purifying" your faith in my reading of the New Testament. The concept seemed to be popping up everywhere I turned. Run the race before you, endure, and you will be saved. Couldn't get away from it. It was all I saw. And don't get me wrong. I knew Who was doing it. I paid strict attention.
My friend sang this at a pathfinder camporee in oshkosh wisconsin in.. 2000? I've remembered it even today. Crazy how memories remain after so much time. Here's to you, Tawnya.
