This is interesting to me! I had this done many years ago, they used dissolvable stitches, had zero bruising, could swallow pizza day 3, my voice was fine, and I was given Tylenol with zero pain, or pain killers! Ladies, I think her story is an extreme example

You explaining that you passed pre-op anyway is good for those who think we transition, have HRT and surgeries just to pass and for others' aproval (I've seen so much gatekeeping around cis-passing transwomen, it's disgusting). But we don't do it just for that, we do it for our own confort even if no one else sees it. It's to be able to one day live as dysphoria-free as possible.
I'm glad you finally did it since you felt for so long you needed it, and I hope recovery goes as smoothly as possible.

Years ago I learned that applying hydrocortisone ointment daily to scars after they've closed up all of the way helps them not be visible when they finish healing.
Just saying, your rocking it without the makeup on.
Your voice sounds so soft and gentle rn, I would love to get this in the future too yet I'm still trying to confirm the process of having my 1st year of a temporary hrt transition before I get the chance to actually apply for a full transition which is bullshit because UK healthcare is absolutely abyssmal.

It took me almost six months to recover but it requires around a year to completely heal. The voice there is always a risk for strange sounds. Don't force anything. It was the first and only thing that I have done and before transition and hormones.
6 weeks oh wow here I was thinking the recovery time was only going to be approximately 2-3 weeks.

I’m getting the impression this whole process is highly taxing on yourself. And if it’s on you then everyone else will find it just as challenging.

The older people get surgeries become more painful and it takes longer for our bodies to heal. Always listen to your doctor. If he/she tells you not to talk, don't talk.
If you are still have a lot of pain please call your doctor and let them know. The reason for painkillers following surgery is because pain puts stress on the body making it harder for the body to heal. Don't feel you have to tough it out. Also a lot of pain might mean there's a problem. Please call your doctor immediately and let them know what's going on.

You should drink tea with fresh ginger and honey. Your voice, in a contraltic sound, sounds great and feminine enough. I know many cis women who have a darker sound than you have. I am an opera singer, aswell as a chakra-worked, and I find it extremely magical when a woman speak lower than the stereotypical, squeaky soubrette.
