- Artist Lauren Bennett shows how to make a 16 color lithograph using just one century plate.
For the first time since lithography was invented in 1798, it is now possible for printmaking students and professionals to easily re-grain this thicker, reusable plate so it may be used hundreds of times instead of just once as conventional ball grained plates require.

As a stone lithographer, I enjoyed watching this process and am fascinated that this type of plate is reusable. Clearly this was very labor intensive. However I must say that the use of photo exposures is something I would never do. Call me "Old School", but I feel that all artistic printmaking should be rendered directly by the artist on the plate or stone.
These are very detailed steps, thanks!
Id love to try one of these for my BFA show in the spring!! :D definitely getting the book!!
