Having Aspergers syndrome i believed that i couldnt do anything at 19, out of school with nothing because i had a fear of education i came across this movie. it inspired me to move to a local city to face my fears and study, it was the hardest and scariest thing imaginable to me but with some help i made it there. Any time that i could feel my drive waning i would put on this song, it gave me the strength to focus and to finally pass my course and do the thing i was most afraid of.
I'm so proud that i made that leap but im so grateful to those who helped me, i definitely couldnt have done it without them.

Whenever I am feeling too lazy to focus on my studies, I come here and listen to this. This gives me the motivation to do something great with my life.

A terrible loss of a truly beautiful mind. Nash influenced many, including myself, and will continue to inspire. Rest in peace.

Oh, wow. I couldn't have said it better myself. This is an extraordinary film about a brilliant man. You are absolutely right, and there aren't a lot of exceptional movies like these anymore, especially in this generation. I was actually inspired into the world of Mathematics, because of this very movie.
I have read the book a while back, and you are right. There are significant plots in Nash's life, that were not mentioned in the movie. But despite that, this film a true MASTERPIECE.
    Thank you!

R.I.P John Nash, such bad luck to have died the way you did but it is a beautiful stroke of luck to have died with the one you love. Yes the book showed a man with a difficult side, schizophrenia can bring out such things in certain people but it was your beautiful mind and the joy of the way it worked that moved me. The very romanticized movie is one of my favourites - this music ... divine

Thank you Gabriela. Truly there are films worthy of perpetual appreciation for their amazing portrayal of success by the power of human endurance, and this film is no exception. Though there might have been quite a number of variations between Nash's true history and what this film suggests, the most valuable thing is that we are shown that even in the midst of life's longest and toughest reversals patience and belief have their rewards.

John Doe narcissism and selfishness are two typical features of schizophrenia (before showing the positive symptoms of the disease, probably nash had a schizoid personality). schizophrenia is a break with reality, it's a closed world and can not be shared with anyone. moreover, nash had delusions of grandeur, so it's normal for people who have this kind of delusions to feel more important than all the others. a beautiful mind is a good movie but remains a movie. it's almost impossibile for a psychotic have some insight into what was going on in his mind. nash has undergone many shelters before realizing his illness and unfortunately many schizophrenics never realize it.
