Just noticed that the "Walk a station or take the train" question works basically only in Japan, in most countries walking from a station to another would be too long of a distance.
Not sure about the distance but they have clean streets/pedestrian. That at least make it a nice change of pace at times. In other countries, all the smoke, heat, and clutter make walking a tiring and stressful experience.
most developed countries have equivalent systems of public transport, though. just replace "train" with "bus" and the question would work even for the relatively small town i live in.

I live in a 1.000.000 population city which uses trams and buses, sometimes I'll walk 4 stations if I'm really feeling it, but 1 is np
