haha, yeah man! 17 and loving it! I'll be honest, I'm self taught... bought a suzuki ts50x a few years back and that taught me the basics lol, i bought it for next to nothing with a snapped con rod and rebuilt it literally with no knowlege of anything, took a while but once i heard the engine splutter into life... best feeling ever 😅... have had quite a few bikes since, mostly modern 50s and 125s that I've done up and flipped and decided to have a go doing up some older bikes and I love it 😂 thankyou so much for your support mate I really appreciate it!
@@dmc_autos you put me to shame 😞😂65 and spark plug change a drag (lazy?) started riding 17 too 1st 2 bikes bsa bantams d7, then after test honda rs250 brilliant bikes. Now have 5, honda ntv 650 vt 600 shadow, suzuki 750 intruder honda cb550 chop (getting done up) and kawasaki 600 eliminator trying to sell that! By my age you will be building whatever will replace motorbikes 😂🐎or back to horses 🤔
@patrickdoake6022 haha I love motorbikes, have had quite a few now lol... my first- Suzuki Ts50x 2001(my favourite bike ever, never selling it😁) , an old aprillia rs50, couple yzfr125s, cbr125, ybr125, Duke 390(bought it to break for parts as had bent frame but ran perfect!) then found this deal, 6 bikes for 600 quid, only issue is they had all been abandoned for about 15 years 🤣🤣... 3x suzuki gn250s, some Chinese jinlun 125 chopper style thing, honda cb450 and a honda cruiser style 200... am loving these old bikes now... I wouldn't call it lazy lol, when you have bikes that are fully working it's much easier to stick the keys in them and ride instead of fixing the broken one 😅
hey man, I got all the service manuals and parts catalogs for this bike if you need it. It's mostly a Brazilian monster and is one of the most historic bikes from around here (for a couple of years it was the highest cc bike available and the only one who could actually tour). Let me know if you need any help, pretty reliable, if a bit heavy, bike. I love it.

Nice work man, one thing I suggest to make these videos a little better is to balance out the audio between you talking and the music, what I mean is, your voice when talking is quiet and then i turn my volume up, it cuts to a music timelapse and the music is really loud and then I have to turn it down, then you go to talk and I gotta turn it back up otherwise man, good stuff, I've been working on a project bike too (83' Yamaha Venture Royale) so these videos are fun to watch while i do mine lol

@@dmc_autos I agree, I have a newer bike, but I really like the older ones better, someone was mid converting it to a bobber but I got ahold of it before he could finish, sadly i have to replace its wiring harness. but Goodluck man, that will be a sweet bike once you have it fully finished
@ForYahwehYeshua haha ironically, it is indeed finished, just need a few more clips for the video, got to take it out for a proper ride first! It Is a gorgeous bike, its a shame to sell it but it's going on the market for sale to fund new projects... well... also have insane insurance bills being a younger driver so have to cover them somehow 😂 yeah a wiring harness isn't a small job 🤣🤣 I'm sure it'll be well worth it when it's done mate!
Ah the old exhaust collector box , put loads of these Honda twins off the road , even back in the day they cost a packet . Seen some good bodges with plumbing fixtures to sort em lol
yeah! got a lovely hole in it! my guess is where it sat, water and moisture got in the end cans and trickled down into there and sat, then just rotted through? I mean it sounds awesome! if I was keeping it, I'd fab up a straight through system lol... shame it just rottted through like that though!
Is there any chance you could send me a Picture of the front brakes? Got one of those in a Box and the caliper is completely demolished, I have no idea how to put the gaskets together. :-)

Would it make a positive difference to the sound cutting that collector box off and going straight through with the stock pipes?

Depending on the level of corrosion, you can used up scrunched up aluminium foil dipped in water to clean surface rust off chrome
