Thanks Joy for another helpful video. As a beginner player I am thinking about setting up a second keyboard to use Chord Trigger to play one key chords.

Thanks for the tutorial! Would it be possible to do this in Ableton? (i.e. use 1 sustain pedal for two keyboards?)

Thanks so much. I'm trying to use this process (slightly modified to drum pads) to add an electronic drum set. I'm able to see the drum set and assign each pad to the drum set in Layout. However, in Edit mode, when I add a channel and go to MIDI input, I no longer see the drum set there so I can't assign it. Any idea why? Thank you!

Hi quick question. How to make second sound play only hard press on keyboard? For example I want to have 2 patches layered on top of each, one piano and an other brass. And when I play keyboard normally only hear the piano patch but when I press hard only hear the brass.

You would want to adjust the minimum velocity level of the brass channel strip(s) using the Layer Editor.

Is there a way you can usb connect the top keyboard to the bottom one then just run main keyboard into laptop?

Are you using an interface to connect both keyboards to mainstage? Or, are you connecting each keyboard directly to your laptop?

How do you connect both midi keyboards to one laptop?

You'll need to make sure you have a usb hub to make that work.

An entire set with just 25 keys would be interesting...as long as everything is in C
