Well, for fruits & veggies the air tight containers make them last a lot longer and less waste. The bacon thing is just genius and look at how gorgeous and aesthetically pleasing this is. It also helps cut down on food waste if you can easily see everything in the fridge.

Probably gets used up too quickly to go bad.
Some of these containers if they come in a kit, come with labels to write the dates you first store them.
