It probably ties in to #8, but I would throw in "Have unrealistic expectations." Being a bad golfer myself, I have played with a lot of bad or even worse golfers who have very unrealistic expectations when they step on a golf course; expectations for score, for each shot, every putt, etc. It takes the fun out of the game in my opinion when you get upset with every shot because you weren't able to make that 40 ft putt, or drive it 300 yds, or pull off the magical escape out of the bush. Newsflash, you never practice, you play once every two or three weeks, and you probably drink too much while doing so (US at least). Being realistic about where you are at in your development and ability and then setting your expectations accordingly makes each round a lot more fun and usually full of mini-celebrations and "ability-calibrated victories" along the way. Great video!
This is a great little piece of advice for all golfers. #2 I have greatly improved my game on. I have quit being a hero. More times than not, I hit the tree and the ball is deeper in. lol #4 not enough club is my biggest issue right now. From being a long ball hitter inmy younger years, it's been tough to admit to myself I am much shorter yardage now. Thanks Dave. Cheers!
Some great advice there mate. The elevation and slope wins me so many holes in match play against my mates….bravado is a fantastic tool in the ‘head’ game. The mental game is the key 😉👍🏻⛳️🏌🏻
Don’t let ego be your guide! Rules to live by!
Amen to that bro!

Love the comment, thank you!
I’ve ticked every one of those boxes 😂 8/10 times? I can’t hit 8/10 fairways… I may as well just go home haha
Haha neither can I…but I also know that right now I can’t hit a draw 8/10 times so I don’t try 😂
Don’t dwell on bad shots, or bad days. Who knew golf turned out to be a metaphor for real life!!
There are some serious parallels!
Just tap it in. Just tap it in. Give it a little tappy. Tap Tap Taparoo
Just make sure you do!

Golf is mental, a truer statement has never been made 😂
