I had one before and it was great. Have you ever had a problem with the drum? My broke so I did not now how to fix it. I just bought it again but I here that HP will not longer make this. You can still get the ink. What is your opinion?
Hey... great video. I've had trouble with smudges showing up on the left side of the paper when I replaced the black with a non HP. I ordered a new cartridge and it cleared up...now my next problem. Every time I print a page... I get a summary page showing the file name and a bunch of useless info. HOW do I turn that feature off?
I got this printer for Mother's day this year and I love it. I print a lot and also print patterns but I've never had to change any of the cartridges yet. I hope they aren't super expensive. I love that I can print from my laptop from anywhere in my house and I can print from my Iphone. After the initial installation, it's been very user friendly.
Hi, great video. I followed your instructions to the "t" until I got to the language settings. Some how, I selected the wrong settings and cannot get back to English. Can you let me know how I can get English instructions or how to reset? Thank you.
@@M-DIY I think it will be overkill for me too but I am getting it in a police surplus auction and it is brand new in the box so it is a little hard to pass up seeing the prices on other printers

I found the printer fairly cheap at Staples in the USA, the last time was in Staples I did not see this on display so perhaps it is out of production now. The duplex printing works great, I have not timed the duplex vs single sided printing, but my estimate would that it takes 1.75x as long (just less than double). The specification states that the maximum paper weight is 43 lbs or 163 grams per square meter (gsm).

I've had mine for almost 4 years. Started to have problems last week. Gets a "Jam in output bin" error. However, there is no jam. Took it in for repairs and it cost me $95.00 to find out the fuser assembly needs to be replaced. Not because the fuser is bad, but because there is a sensor on the assembly that can not be replaced. The entire assembly has to be replaced. The tech told me, because of how this is installed, it would take approximately 2 1/2 hours to replace plus the part costs around $125.00. Not worth fixing. Not sure if this was a fluke, but will not be buying one of these again. My last color laser lasted 13 years. HP really messed up on this one.

7:50 so cute! Even I did that when I was a newbie to LaserJet. Now I feel laser is easier than inkjets to maintain.

Well this one is a bit old, and not to mention too expensive for me, I mostly need black and white prints so color laser would be an overkill.

Is it worthwhile to install the optional memory? The memory for this printer in much cheaper on Amazon than from HP.

i was wondering if i can print transparency paper on this printer? say example gobo that can project into the light
There is an option in the printer properties to select transparency as the media type. I believe HP makes laser jet transparencies too.
