That is not going to happen. Emmis has put the station up for sale and we expect a buyer tkk on be announced in a few months.

I’m pretty sure this radio station might go to Bloomberg, as they just secured a deal to start broadcasting on Beasley 92.9 FM Boston. although I am curious, if this pop-up format stays at least for this month, I wonder if this will affect the WNEW FM ratings?

@@FN32DXer I would say you’re correct however, most major radio broadcasters, are in deep financial trouble so, even if let’s say cumulus media, where to buy the station, I’m not sure it would be interested nowadays anyway since, they got rid of WPLJ and lots of others and other markets just a few years ago and, I heart media and odyssey certainly don’t have the financial resources and they are their ownership limits anyway if they were to buy the station. and they asking prices quite high, so I think at this point, MS broadcasting might have to end up lowering the price and accepting any offers unless they want out right by the station again.
