Also I love how every single battle(except fighter battles) have a reference to it's spirit. For example, Bayonetta mainly do side specials with a Juri spirit, because Juri's fighting style is Taekwondo, a martial art which specializes with kicks, such as fast-kicking techniques. Another example is Donkey Kong + Professor Chops spirit. Professor Chops usually appears in checkpoints in Donkey Kong Country Returns, and if you lose too many lives on the same level, he suggests that Super Kong will finish the rest of the level without your control. That's why Donkey Kong appears white here, since this is how Super Kong looks like. it's also ironic that he can escape from movement disabling moves, since in DKCR, you aren't actually moving him at all. he moves by himself. It's pretty impressive how much effort the team put into these simplistic but clever battles!
@Luca Antinori More like hour's of stale gameplay for what's supposed to be. Nothing about this feels like a story or adventure mode. You're just walking around on a map battling spirits of the same fighters over and over again i can do that in multiplayer mode. No progression shown in a fun way, no real diffrenttypes enimes to fight, no transitions to playing with other groups of characters, no cutscenes that connects everything. None of that's here. Smash bros brawl shits on this game. It has a real story/adventure mode and gives u hours of fun gameplay at the same time. The game developers got lazy and really dropped the ball.
@@SlimKim3Dude, you're forgetting that Smash Brawl has WAY less characters then Ultimate. While I do agree more cutscenes could have been made, a story mode with 70+ characters would be unviable. No character would have proper time screen, everything would be a lot rushed, which would recieve much more complaints than what was done. It is a unique mode, it was never done to be compared to Subspace Emissary. Although I never played SE, I watched on RUclips a long time ago (the cutscenes, to be more honest), and honestly it's not perfect, not having some kind of dialogue was strange to me (not even written dialogues). I'm pretty sure Brawl has flaws, but because of your Nostalgia towards the story mode, you're not "seeing" it. I do respect your opinion, but saying one is worse simply because the story mode is not like SE is dumb, beacuse like I said, World of Light was NEVER meant to be like Subspace Emissary.

I mean personally I think it would be a good idea for precure to make their own game(56 and counting) in a similar format to this, but like smash is exclusively for game series.
