Thank you Raj for this. I was stationed at Larson Barracks from April ‘83 thru October’84. Whenever I see videos of Kitzingen I get, as Dan Fogelberg put it, “that old familiar pain”. I’m 64 now, & I look back at those 18 months as the best time of my life. While I could be unhinged at times, I never disrespected the town or it’s beautiful people. My favorite haunt was Frankischer Hof, the proprietor’s name was Hussein, & the gentleman who I always sat next to at the bar was named Jurgen. I had a wonderful girlfriend, who’s name will remain with me. But I didn’t just drink those 18 months away, I got out often & saw your beautiful country, & especially loved Munich. Kitzingen has & always will hold a very special place in my heart☮️❤️
Too bad Larson Barracks are no more. My dad was stationed there in the early 70's then we lived in Kitzingen for a while. My family are actually taking off for Kitzingen on Monday to fulfill our mothers biggest wish to return there before she dies.
Living in Kitzingen as a teenager in the early 70's was wonderful. Thanks for waking up so many beautiful memories with this nice video! It appears to have kept that magical look and feel.
Wow Looks alot Different from my Memories of Ole Kitzingen. Probably because I Spent my 18-19-&20th Birthday there at Harvey Barracks 1960-63. The Old Berlin Wall Days, in the 1st of the 68th Armor. Super Fun Time growing up there 😀. Today I am 82 years Old, and still Breathing Lol. Loved every day there, Thanks for the Video!

My barracks there have become a hotel of sorts. Prices are reasonable, just so you know

Best Video on the Internet that describes what life in Kitzingen actually looks like.
