Where do Holloway diamonds come from?
They come from mines, they don't come from factories. They come from mines, and the companies that we buy from are members of the Responsible Jewellery Council, and they are not conflict diamonds. They are diamonds that, more and more today, we can actually tell you which country they came from. Sometimes we can tell you which mine but mostly we can tell you which country they come from, because the Responsible Jewellery Council and an organization called the Kimberley Certification System, identified the diamonds by the country that they came from. If that country is not somewhere that is safe, like the Democratic Republic of Congo, which is not democratic, for example, is not a participant in that system.
Most of our diamonds come from Botswana and from Russia and from Canada and, unfortunately, not so many from Argyle because the government's about to close the Australian mine.
