I also tried the Verb Curl foaming Gel. I was just ok with it. It did not hold my curl at all. Completely followed Mell's styling method. I've used is a second time and layered it with a gel. Much better result. I think as a single styler, this isn't the bomb for me I was hoping.
Aw that stinks that you don’t love it alone! I can understand that though. I usually prefer light to medium hold products now ever since I let go of trying for the most possible definition and enhancement every wash 💞
@@JordanFaith Thanks, Jordan. It's ok. Not all products can be the be all end all for everyone. I do like it well enough to layer, so I'll just do that. Haven't tried it to refresh. That's a good idea.
I am so glad that I am not the only one disappointed with the Verb Curl foaming gel. I really wanted to like it because I love Mell and her videos. It did not give my usual definition and hold. I am a 3A and am 4 months into this curl journey. Thanks for your review.
I used the Verb curl shampoo, conditioner, Verb ghost prep, then curl foam a few times and have had great results on my fine/thin low density hair! I was impressed! Used it on my son and his curls were awesome as well. I preferred using a gel over it on future uses but either way great results!!
I bought it too and just tried it yesterday's wash day. It wasn't enough on it's own as a single styler to hold my curls or keep frizz under control. I will try it again next wash day using my favorite "finishing" gel to see if it works better for my hair that way.
I clicked on this video right away🤩 I was hoping you'd give us your thoughts on this product, but wasn't expecting a review so quickly!! Thanks for sharing your honest thoughts with us! ❤
You have me wanting this more than I already did! It's awesome that it leaves your hair really soft but held your style pretty well. It can be rare to find both of those in the same product.
I just got this delivered from Sephora today. It is sold out in Verb Canada. Excited to try!! So Glad you did a review. So many products are hard to find in Canada. Thanks.
You really did have beautiful results! 👏🏻 I'm gonna have to hunt this one down - as soon as I can work through a couple other products! 🙄 🤷🏼♀️ Thanks for sharing. ❤️
I have some waiting for my weekend wash. I've been using the Doux Mousse Def mousse and have been surprised by it. It's the first foaming mousse I've used that left me feeling like I used too much and it gave me huge clumps and more hold than a traditional mousse. I'm wondering how similar the Verb foaming mousse gel may (or may not!) be. Also: love that peachy cantaloupey coral top and your polkadot dress/blouse. Both are super cute on you and the coral color is really pretty with your coloring.
I used the verb. Didn't impress me . I have very fine hair and used a pea size , it gave me a good slip but needed a gel with protein. My curls was ok. Still keep trying it. It great for tighter curls.
My hair 2c/3a low density. This product doesn't has protein I think cause the 2nd time I used curlsmith protein and the next day and slept without a bonnet had great curls.
Jordan, I wish I could send you mine. I used it once, and wasn't wowed, unfortunately. I don't know if it just doesn't mesh with my body chemistry, but ended up smelling kinda fishy, literally, in my hair. I couldn't deal and had to re-wash. It worked well enough as a styler, but I have other cheaper products that work better for me. Wish it wasn't a miss for me, but it was. 🙁
Oh my goodness, I’m so sorry to hear that!! I would not be able to deal with that smell if that happened with a product for me either. Is there any way for you to return it?
Do you know if it is curly girl method approved? I bought, used it once so far and liked it, but now I’m really trying to stick to the Curly Girl Method.
I originally thought it was, but it’s technically not since it has isopropyl alcohol near the end of the ingredients list. I’d imagine it’s such a low amount that it evaporates out and wouldn’t have any affect on the hair, but of course it’s up to you to decide what you want to do. I don’t follow CGM ingredient rules :)
I love Mel but its an immediate NO from me. I have much tighter curls and that foam will not work for me. I would need a gel as well. Looks nice for fine textures
I don't think the price makes sense. After a look at the ingredients list of there is no expensive stuff in it. I don't like the microplastic in it. It's awful for our environment. It's not biodegradable and accumulates in waters and soil, even detectable in our blood
Could you elaborate a bit more regarding “expensive ingredients” in hair care products vs inexpensive? I would like to find that information in order to make better decisions for my curly hair.
Thanks so much to Mell for creating this with Verb! Have any of you tried it?
Note: The product is fragrance free, but it has a light orange scent 🧡
I use Viori bar shampoo and conditioner. I like it very much;)
FYI - I am allergic to oranges & contacted VERB & it is grapefruit including the Limone (not spelling correctly) is grapefruit. So I can use it too!
@@heatherhaworth4993 YAY🎉

Same for me! What gel did you pair it with?
I am so glad that I am not the only one disappointed with the Verb Curl foaming gel. I really wanted to like it because I love Mell and her videos. It did not give my usual definition and hold. I am a 3A and am 4 months into this curl journey. Thanks for your review.
Such a bummer for you folks wishing it had a harder hold! 😓
I used the Verb curl shampoo, conditioner, Verb ghost prep, then curl foam a few times and have had great results on my fine/thin low density hair! I was impressed! Used it on my son and his curls were awesome as well. I preferred using a gel over it on future uses but either way great results!!
Thank you!! I’m glad you like it 💞
Ahhh I’m so happy to see all these good results in the comments and from your video! Can’t wait to try it!!!
@Christy Clasgens ~ How are your results?👸
Literally the BEST product I’ve ever used for my curls! Thank you for helping create this product! You 2 ladies have helped me love my natural curls 🥰
I bought it too and just tried it yesterday's wash day. It wasn't enough on it's own as a single styler to hold my curls or keep frizz under control. I will try it again next wash day using my favorite "finishing" gel to see if it works better for my hair that way.
So sorry! It’s just the right amount of hold for my personal preference, but I can understand that you might need or want a stronger hold ❤️
Mandi, I had the same result. I did use is with a gel and got much better results.
I clicked on this video right away🤩 I was hoping you'd give us your thoughts on this product, but wasn't expecting a review so quickly!! Thanks for sharing your honest thoughts with us! ❤
Thank you so much! I wanted to get it out as soon as I could 🧡
Ohhhhh I'm so excited !!!! 🙌🏽😃
Apon watching I agree it looks so good ! Props to Mell 💖.
Verb is a professional line so price is on point with most.
Thank you!! Yes, price is absolutely in line with other products of its same grade ❤️
@@JordanFaith 😃💖 exactly !

I’m super happy with it, that definitely can be a hard thing to find!
Try the Viori shampoo/conditioner bars. I really like them.
Thank you! Those are the really intricately molded ones right? So so pretty, I’ve seen the ads

Yay!! Thank you

Thank you so much!! I know what you mean, I’m working through my collection 😅
Thank you!! This came right on time! I am going to order it as soon as possible!! Thank you
Thank you! I hope you like it!!
Try Ethique for shampoo and conditioner bars (and body wash, and skin scare, and and and...)! They have great, eco friendly products!
Thank you!! A friend of mine really likes their products as well!
Oh I didn’t know that Mel was selling her own products now. I can’t wait!
I’m not sure how much of a cut she will make from sales, but I’d hope she at least gets a percentage when folks use her coupon code MELLCFG ❤️
Man...I need this too. I need everything curly. 😩
I had no idea Mel had a product! Oh no, another one to add to my collection 🤣🤣🤣!!! U don't even want to know lol. Your hair looks great! Nice volume!
Thank you so much!!!
Oh, I think I might know - *looks at product bookshelf* - 😂
🤣😆😆
You & your hair look FABULOUS!
Thank you so much!
I like the only curls shampoo bar and the ethnique tip to tot bar. Also interested to try this foam
Thank you!

I’ve heard the Doux is excellent but I haven’t tried it!
Thank you so much!! ❤️
not enough hold for me, I have to combine it with my trusty Aussie Instant Freeze gel
I used the verb. Didn't impress me . I have very fine hair and used a pea size , it gave me a good slip but needed a gel with protein.
My curls was ok. Still keep trying it. It great for tighter curls.
Interesting! Sorry you don’t like it. It works great for my loose waves :)

I am with you on this product.
I use Chagrin Valley shampoo bars and I looooovvvve them. I have curly 3B/3C hair. I’ve also used Viori but I wasn’t impressed with that one
Thanks, I hadn’t heard of those!
This is the first time I’ve ever seen a video and immediately ordered the product. I love my current foam but could use a little more hold.
I really hope you like this one!
Try The Vida Bars! They are phenomenal!
Thank you!! I’ve been wanting to try Vida Bars for a long time now

Thank you!!
I really want to try this but I can’t but it internationally yet 😢 Looks so good 🥰
Thank you! So sorry it’s not available to you 😓

The Results are Absolutely Worth it!👸
I Hope @ManesbyMell stops in and says 'Hi!🙋🏼♀️"
I’d love that lol! Thank you! 💗
Sweet!

A foaming gel?? 😱
It’s so cool!!

I meant that it is on par with other salon quality brands. Of course you can make your purchasing choices according to your own views
