Thank you so much Nigel. First you made really pleasing tunes to listen too and now you even teaching. And you doing a great job in my opinion. Stay healthy and keep doing what you are doing. Greetings from Austria.
Thank you Nigel ! Great tuto vidéos coming these days! Crancking theory is very simple but so hard to put together with the left hand 🤪 Hope to see one dedicated to "Captain Courageous " some days.
Try as I might I never did master the jig time (6/8) and just did it in 3/8 which I've been told is sloppy (or something)... but after playing jigs using 3/8 for decades I don't care (and I'm pushing 70 and I shout at clouds! 🤣)
@@robertsmithers7591 you could checkout Dakota strings (their flicker tail gurdy is good) also nerdy gurdy f you don't mind some assembly work, or MM ancestore instruments called the Aplo or the trigo , but avoid altarwind from Oregon unless you find one very cheap and just use it to start things off

Thank you! Delightful. Grateful for the opportunity to learn from your videos.
Hi Nigel, many thanks for all the tunes. If I wanted to buy a Hurdy Gurdy, where would you recommend I look?
pls state approximate location and budget cheers
@@nigeleaton1 Austin, Texas USA and at the moment about £1-£1.5K, however if I waited a bit more the budget could likely go up.

@@nigeleaton1 Wow thank you very much for taking the time to write those recommendations.
Much appreciated, I will check out as suggested.
@@robertsmithers7591 also join hurdy gurdy community on fb if possible as there's lots of useful help there too
