I always noticed years ago that I would meet kids from war torn countries in and around the former Soviet Union and they all loved the Exploited. It was the soundtrack to their lives.
Exploited is best scotland ( Greate Britain ) Punk band ever !! I can say they are top 5 band in World .We have some Great Punk band in Ex Yugoslavia !! Exploited for me best Punk band . !

However, putting The Clash and Green Day together in the same category is bullshit. The Clash and The Ramones influenced so many punk, hardcore, oi! and street punk bands. There's a lot of oi! bands covering Clash songs and a lot of street punk bands covering Ramones songs.

That is what Punk is: no fucking trumpets, nor mellow in them songs rhythm, all raw hardcore slam - dance lyrics and music. And these guys, are still living that era ... Powerfully!! KUDOS!
early exploited was very much in the tradition of what you'd consider to be the golden age of punk [pistols,sham 69,clash etc.] but you gotta bear in mind how long they've been around t,they've definitely evolved their sound.....the stuff you're hearing here definitely has a more metal influence,true enough. plus you gotta factor in the lineup changes over the years,thats gonna affect any bands sound & direction....BUT IT IS IRREFUTABLE & INARGUABLE THAT THE EXPLOITED ARE LEGITIMATE PUNK! THAT CANT & WONT BE ARGUED.......UNDERSTOOD???

Matt justice is the longest standing guitarist they've had and best next to the guy with dreads that played in 05 in Russia. He blew me away, I saw them more as a joke till the Moscow gig. Beat the bastards best song. Jimmy Boyle second.
To me punk is The Pistols, The Clash, X-Ray Spex, Sham69, Stiff Little Fingers etc. The Exploited sound like some fuck awful thrash metal band or somthin. Just a horrible noise.
