A Wild Mouse roller coaster (also Mad Mouse or Crazy Mouse) is a type of roller coaster characterised by small cars that seat four people or fewer and ride on top of the track, taking tight, flat turns (without banking) at modest speeds, yet producing high lateral G-forces. The track work is characterized by many turns and bunny hops, the latter producing abrupt negative vertical G forces. When approaching a turn from a straight section the intended impression is that one will simply continue straight, and thus plunge off of the device, this since there are no transition sections as are in a conventional high speed coaster track and the turn itself is obscured upon close approach. Almost all Wild Mice feature "switchback" sections, consisting of several of these unbanked turns, separated by straight sections. Usually the turns on the switchback section are 180°, but some coasters feature 90° turns as well as more rarely steep runs with loops (for example Crazy Mouse at Tobu Zoo in Japan, which is no longer operating).
The feeling of a Wild Mouse coaster is amplified by using cars that are wider than the track itself, giving the impression that the riders are hanging off the side or that they might fly out, thus giving it the name "wild".
Some may include trick-track - a "straight" piece of track banked slightly side to side designed to throw the rider left to right. Some wild mouse coasters, such as Primeval Whirl (at World Disney World's Animal Kingdom), also have spinning cars.
The modern Wild Mouse was invented by German designer Franz Mack. In the original wooden Wild Mouse coasters of the 1960s and 1970s, the cars were so small that they could only fit two adults in close contact. While the low capacity of these rides led to long lines, the cars were small by design.
Throughout the 1970s and 1980s the Wild Mouse type coaster was nearly extinct. However, beginning in the mid-1990s, Wild Mouse-style rides made a comeback for two reasons: First, they were cheaper than larger, conventional coasters; second, they added to a park's "coaster count" with minimal impact on cost and area.

The craziest thing about the "Crazy Mouse" is that it's "Portable!" I worked for a traveling carnival and nobody ever thinks about the amount of work required to setup/tear down rides. That thing has got to be a project! There's absolutely no lightweight parts to ANY ride! Bumper cars were the worst & required a few semi trucks, I can only imagine how many are required for this thing! They'll all leave u covered in grease as well!

If you go on this ride with only one other person, have everyone sit on the left side. Trust me, it'll throw off the car's balance and you'll start spinning like mad.

I feel so sad watching this. Last year in 2020, the Fair was supposed to open on March. My church was going to do a field trip to the Fair and I was so excited to go!! And two days later, I was gonna go again with my family! Twice in one year for the first time! But, because of COVID, when I got there with the church, they closed it. I was so sad and upset. We were about to have so much fun, but instead it just closes on us!! I will never forget how I felt at that moment. I heard that the Fair is opening again on November this year, so I hope my church can try to go as a group again.
I'm looking forward to The Fair reopening on November 18th as well! 🎢🎡🎪🌽
I remember when the Tennessee state fair was in Nashville, they had this ride and every year when my family went to the fair, this would be the first ride we would ride before riding the others.
Sad that my last time riding the crazy mouse was in 2019 because they made that soccer stadium where the fair was but it was good times 😊
This roller coaster crazy mouse was in Greece in 2008 to 2012/14 it was one of the most beautiful rides at Allou fan park in Athens …I’m really missing this roller coaster 😢

Hey did you like the crazy mouse well guess what there is a wild mouse kind of like it at Beech Bend park in Bowling Green Kentucky
So not to long ago I was going to this exact youth fair and I think they like updated the crazy mouse but when I went on it with my sisters I was breaking my ribs and everything (not really breaking my ribs but it was hitting my ribs hard) but anyways so ya the turns was so hard lol (by the way I live close to the Miami youth fair so ya)
