Unbelievable how cool and accurate this is!!! Nearly lost it when the car began spinning for the remainder of the circuit!! Awesome

When I was a teen, I used to build huge scale model coasters. I made one triple looping coaster out of brass tubing and steel that was so tall, I needed a ladder to reach the top of the hills. But one thing you notice when you build model rollercoasters is, they don’t have the same inertia when scaled down. For example, full scale coasters can literally sustain forward momentum for what seems like an unnatural distance, but scaled coasters lose speed quickly because they don’t have the same mass. Newton’s laws of mass in motion are unavoidable! So you have to add extra weight to model coasters that is disproportionate to their scale to get better sustained motion.

Last time I went on that ride was at local state fair. Released our car and had to stop it right away before getting to the lift chain. Guy had to pound several loose anchor spikes back into the ground. Support leg was moving. Then he looked at us and said “that should be good enough for now”. 😳

"Rajun Cajun," the one they sent to six flags america-maryland. Was actually the last Reverchon model ever created before Zamperla purchased the rights after the company went bankrupt, basically just changed the seats and kept building way more of them.
