- We reveal the finalist images from the Urban Wildlife round of the Pangolin Photo Challenge. This was a tough round with some stunning images and these are the finalist from which the judges will chose the winning image.

So which image do you think will win?
Hands down, the polar bear among waste barrels. Says so much in so many ways.
Yes it does!
My personal favourite is the polar bear between the oil drums. This image shows the ordeal of these magnificent animals due to human interference with their natural habitat: climate change due to the burning of fossil fuels. This image could go straight into a commercial by an environmental organisation. Well seen!
It certainly needs to be seen by a large audience.
There are beautiful and depressing at the same time.
Certainly thought provoking.
Some images like the polar bear amongst these oil drums, presumably searching for food, are a reflection of a brutal, man-made, reality.

Really liked the deer in the cemetery and the weasels in the pipes!

The narratives we impose on some of these photos are interesting. The photos qua photos are enjoyable, and I'm doing my best to appreciate them without constructing in-your-face stories.
Good luck with that. This round makes constructing stories nigh on impossible to ignore.. ;-)
My favourites are the kite in front of the mosque/palace, and the monkey in front of the monkey face painting.

Some really great images. And a first for me as one of mine has been shortlisted. Very, very happy....It will not win as there are some stunning images, with a great story behind them which are better. But who knows !!

@1:59 The monkey in front of a monkey graffiti, because I'm a big fan of self-referencing.
