I really wanted to ask you something that I think would help me with my future career. What do you do for a living? I know it’s a blunt question, but I really love the work you’re doing with the animals especially with the wolves😍 Soon I’ll be a student of veterinary medicine and I just want to see what are my options, because I really want to concentrate my work around wild animals and wildlife in general. If what you do for a living doesn’t involve anything animal related you really don’t have to answer to my kinda rude question. And if you happen to answer, please share as much details about the job as you are comfortable with. Thank you some much in advance, and keep saving the animals, it’s what you do best❤️
Once you are in the industry, it'll be much easier to see all of your options. Also you can ask your college/university advisors about it. All areas that work with animals need vets, there are lots of opportunities.
I have a boxer pit. Hes huge and beautiful but very excitable. He can cause some damage even when he doesnt mean to, so sometimes I imagine what he could do if he did mean to. Which is good because I live in a bad area and I have anxiety. When we got him he was barely more than a newborn, his mother rejected him because his teeth were so sharp they cut her breast. I love him with my whole heart.
I love German Shepherds 😍 they are "the dog". The last one was awsome. The problem is if the criminals have a gun and kill the poor dog. The police dog are freed and trained to disarm but it can happen so fast.
I want a Dobie eventually, and that is always a fear for me if this situation ever came up. But then again, even if you have a gun, they're a lot more effective at range than close quarters. If you're close enough to mug someone, you're not going to have enough time to take aim, and shoot the dog when you realize it's going to attack. But I think the biggest protection these animals provide, is simply in crime prevention. If I'm a crook, and want to mug someone, and I see someone walking by with a Shepherd, or Dobie, I'd probably pass. Have to remember that the average crook is also opportunistic. Just my two cents though. I'm also not a dog training expert. lol
@@joshuadavidson3689 Dobs are great too, very protective of their family. Yes, those dogs are very dissuasive for ordinary opportunists. In France, laws are different. Weapons are prohibited unless to have a permit, but black market feeds certains areas. Therefore, if a bugglar trespasses in the middle of the night and a dog attacks him, the owner, within his own house is the one who'll have all the problems because in that case the dog falls under the law of being an "improvised weapon". Those protection dogs are for security companies mainly and not allowed without a special permit to citizens. Police and Army have their own canine companies.

It’s so amazing. I had a German Shepard and a brown Doberman. Always felt save in my house or car. But there’s such misconceptions about defense dogs that was impossible to go around the town or parks without a muzzle. Therefore defeating the purpose of such beautiful companion. It’s mostly related to ignorance and prejudice. In USA you’re allowed to carry a firearm (and shoot someone) but not a dog! Thank you for your help and congratulations to those professionals trainers.
Mrs Pleasants I don’t disagree with the quality of these dogs or the cost of a fully trained 2-3 yr, but at the end of the day if you cannot control a trained dog especially a gsd don’t get one . I paid 2k for my boy trained and loved him well and he will switch on and off no problem .
Was your dog trained to protect you? I just ask because I have owned 2 show bred Gsds, and the female wouldn't protect me when I was attacked in my house, my male Gsd wasn't there at the time, so I don't know whether he would have protected me.
Sometimes depends on how much time u spend with them, mine 4 1/2 month gsd, when he sees a stranger coming if he’s far he’ll come close and will keep his eyes on the person until I tel him it’s ok, I didn’t teach me that but in a short time it became a normal thing for him to do.
glad to see more content like ours raising awareness of how amazing the dogs are in the protection industry! need more mighty Boerboels in the video though :D
What beautiful dogs! I grew up with black german shepherds and these dogs just naturally have these tendencies. They are incredibly loving, affectionate, protective, loyal and intelligent while their instinct to protect is intense. I couldn't imagine how magnificent they are with such intensive training. There is a reason only certain breeds of dogs are used in this manner, it isn't always about size... it's loyalty and intelligence.
What beautiful animals these are, loyal, loving, playful and potentially lethal to those that would attack their keeper. The company owner and his team clearly love their dogs and treat and train them with respect. I particularly liked the tailgate release allowing the dog to counter attack and engage the lead car jacker and break the ambush. Thank you for this superb, professional video.
It's a little bit justified. These dogs are hand selected from expensive, long-standing working bloodlines. Only a few puppies from each litter might have what it takes, and then only a few of those few might actually make it all the way through the training. And there is A LOT of very very intensive training, teaching the dog to have confidence, bark correctly, bite correctly, not be focused on the sleeve, not be deterred by uneven footing, not be distracted, let go on command, etc, etc, etc. On top of normal obedience training. It's a lot of work that is put into these animals. The only reason I say a "little bit" justified is because the price of the dogs is inflated purely because well-trained protection dogs are in high demand. If they didn't sell for £50k, they wouldn't be priced at £50k. They can basically charge what they want, within reason, because they are in demand. Males tend to go for more just because they are males. Larger dogs tend to go for more just because they are larger. And yes, "prettier" dogs go for more too. They are essentially a product, so they are very much affected by demand.
Jenny “only a few puppies from each litter might have what it takes” and what might that be exactly? Most dogs who love their owners and have basic training have “what it takes” to defend their owners. I’m sure you can think of 101 different reasons that these dogs are worth the ridiculous price tag they come with, however, most sensible people will not even entertain spending that amount of money on a guard dog.
When we got our GSD we were approached by a company to take her to be trained for the police after she pinned a guy running through gardens away from the police to the wall. We kept her though. Amazing training and you can see how much effort and dedication is given to these dogs
No Dutchies either :(. Great working dogs, definitely suited to this kinda thing. Other companies that produce protection dogs use both malinois and dutch shepherds, wonder why this one doesn't.
The malinois is not as suitable as a pet as requires the most stimulation of all the protection breeds. Protection dogs are different from guard dogs they need to be assimilated in to the family. Malinois best equipped for active constant work hence they are the choice of special forces and military teams.
Dogs are awesome. They’re incredibly loyal, will love you unconditionally and are quite fun. That said, paying $50k or 50,000£ is insane. First of all, who’s going to attempt to mug someone with a Doberman, German Shepherd or any large dog? Also, paying someone else to train your dog without your complete immersion in the process can be dangerous. I guess this is just a nice opportunity to film an infomercial for these trainers.
I personally agree with the price because if it wasn't that high more people would be getting it and more irresponsible owners would have (essentially) a very dangerous weapon.
I know I'm late, but in another video, I'm pretty sure they mentioned that the soon-to-be owners _are_ included in the training. The humans are trained to handle the dog, and the dog is trained to obey the humans. Anneka told one dog to let go ("Out!/Aus!") and it took a few tries since, as the male handler said, the dog wasn't quite used to her voice commands yet. This company takes every precaution in training these dogs. You can be sure that they'll take every person in the dog's orbit into account, as well.
@@bbe2481 Unfortunately you (edit) may not be familiar with what goes on in certain areas of the world where they train dogs to the weapons, I get it do not train the owners properly. You see we agree the price should limit accessibility, yet the black market ensures such logic doesn’t apply.
What a great episode! Worth waiting. Those GSD's were the best protection dogs I've ever saw, not just because of the damage they can inflict, but the precise response they demonstrate with trainers. That dobberman too, definitely know what to do. Wow!
That is so important to have well trained dog with you. Most dogs are just pets, however their instincts are to be wild, but by the end of the day this will always be your family member. Amazing episode. Anaka; haaaa, have fun... that made my lough.🤣🤣❤❤

My boss had one of his mansions broken into & everything of value was loaded up & hauled off. He had 6 huge Rottweilers guarding his property, the bad guys fed them poisoned pork chops, then gained entry.
YaValioCacaWates M This sort of thing happens because of too much socialization with the dogs. Unfortunately the majority of trainers base their training on political correct socialization. The dog(s) must be loyal to the client only and In return the client to the dog. Rejecting food from non owners is an important part of protection training.
Shouldn't the dogs be kept inside so they attack an intruder at the same time as any humans, they are more likely to recognise an intruder and are more likely to surprise the intruder?

I’ve been raised with German Shepard Dogs! They don’t need training to be your protector because it’s in their DNA. They love you unconditionally as long as you show them some love also! I don’t care the breed you own, show them true love and you will experience true love! Dogs are awesome, people are crazy!
I wish I could afford that Dobie!! Beautiful canines
Big Respect for the ones training this Amazing Buddies cause they’re the ones who’s putting them selves out there.
You should probably send her a email since it's a personal question
She is "an actress, UK TV presenter and animal expert, with a 20-year history in TV, theatre and film."
Once you are in the industry, it'll be much easier to see all of your options. Also you can ask your college/university advisors about it. All areas that work with animals need vets, there are lots of opportunities.
All I know is she is amazing. Would love to meet her one day.
I'm also not a dog training expert. lol

Dobs are great too, very protective of their family.
Majestic dogs! I have a family member who works with a K9 officer. That ton of fluff is great with their kids--but very protective. I am so impressed with how well these pups are trained!
This episode it was fantastic! Love seeing what our companions can do to protect our life's from harm. ❤️
I love nothing more than a giggly hostess! Brilliant! Cheers mates!!
I always wondered where henchmen got their dogs from.
No longer.
I don't think henchmen have that sort of money.
They don’t get them from anyone reputable...
Great video Anneka! You weren't exaggerating the behind the scenes at all. It gives one a whole new appreciation for our furry best friends!
it's honestly the most incredible thing to see how a family pet can protect you in such a way,it's just wow! i hope to have a dog like this in my home & i will definitely be going to protection dogs worldwide to get it!🥰

Thankyou 🙏
One of the most powerful protection dogs & is an all round fantastic dog, THE ROTTWEILER, in my opinion ranks extremely high in this department
That could be the most perfect doberman I've ever seen. 🤘🏻🤯👍🏻
My gsd never cost me that kind of money lol yet he’ll protect me with his life train and love them well protection dog 100%
You think he would protect you iff not trained mostly they don't do shit
jaggertje come find out I’m pretty sure my trained gsd will change your mind
Loved this so much. I just adore these protection trained dogs. Amazing. Love your channel more and more every day if that’s even possible. ❤️
Aw thanks 🙏
Fantastic video ,Anneka you are a brave lady trying everything👍💖🌹
glad to see more content like ours raising awareness of how amazing the dogs are in the protection industry! need more mighty Boerboels in the video though :D
When the lady left ATM machine the Doberman should have walked on the side where the man was standing against the wall. Beautiful dog.
I LAUGHED SO HARD WHEN SHE SAID *HAVE FUN!!!!*

Awesome! I wish my shepherd were trained like this.
You can make it!
I won't say train your dog to bite, but for do what you say.
@@Candle-m5s he is well trained, but not for bite work.
Just look at their fur! They are so well cared for!
You killed it Anneka...this video rocks. Love it. 🙂👍💪

You are most welcome 🙏💞

No Belgian Malinois ???? Wow 😮
In this episode Anneka looks like a battle angel
@@sluttymctits4496 It’s always the humans who needs a training.

The irony of this video! I just got bitten by one of my rescues!

The point is that I got bitten by a dog yesterday.. that's why I found it surprising.

just got a 10 week old male Malinois he had highest drive of the litter. I am already training him on basics. I must say he is one of the smartest dogs I have owned. I also carry a glock 17 so I have zero worries.
GSDs are THE BEST.

I don't see the point and I think it's cruel. It's only done because it's the "breed standard"
@@snoox27 yes absolutely. The reason why its done mostly is because of dog fights, its been done to prevent heavy injuries. But no reason makes this whole shit justyfied

I thought I was going to get a cute protective German Shepherd but really what I got is a floppy cute spaz that only barks lol
When your dog is so highly trained why use a prong collar? , I would have thought basic collar would be sufficient with that much control? I don't mean to be mean , but I've seen other trainers in other countries that the dog doesn't need to be restrained to get them off, your car jacking I noticed you grabbed the dog and held him, ? Again no offence iam just comparing how things are done in different countries . Beautiful dogs .
This guy is super cute explaining the dogs
10 min of nothing plus 3 of subjected content
that is clearly the distinction between an episode and a highlight reel. Also you may want to look up the definition of nothing.
