      ars Well, I disagree. Killing an innocent is indeed inhumane. Criminals are inhumane. Killing the guilty is not. By killing the murderer, everything becomes balanced. You pay for taking a life, by giving yours. He killed unrighteously, by doing that, he gave away the right to his life. Unless he truly repents, he must pay for what he committed.

      Nope cos the person who took the life. They also have family who are innocent, as innocent as the victim. They might have kids who are gonna lose a parent. Those kids are innocent, sure there parent or son or daughter might end up in prison for yrs & yrs. Mabye even life, that can't be changed. But they don't deserve 2 have their loved ones killed. Add 2 that, 1 in 25 on death row are thought 2 b innocent. A life sentence can be over turned, an execution can't. 1 former executioner in Virginia stated that in all the yrs he did the job, he saw more cases, a mix off sentences over turned, & the death row inmate released after proven innocent, than he did executions. That alone should say all that needs said ffs. God knows how many executed going on his figures were innocent. 2 wrongs will also nvr make a right. Killing 2 show killing is wrong, is wrong.

    In Islam, death penalty can only be impose if the judges is ultimatly positively sure that all evidence and eye witness testimony has 0% doubt. So I dont know why people have this idea that Shariah law is on a killing spree. Also thats the very reason I oppose death penalty in Malaysia. mainly because existing system is corrupt. Chances of an innocent man can be put on death row is there. Fix the corruption issue first, then fix the education system. that is the real deterent for crime.

Even gov or judge cannot so anything. All depend on family of victim. • @Catlandian
    @Catlandian 5 лет назад +6

    First like anything its a matter of context- circumstantial evidence shouldn't be enough for death penalty even for cases involving terrorism and death of minors.
    No justice system is perfect but if there is enough evidence, and convicted with a jury it can be warranted.
    The main argument against CP is the gov't shouldn't murder people but the gov't is only allowing the possibility, it shouldn't as in Malaysia be a mandatory sentence but should be the decision left to the jury/judge.
    This way its not the state who is murdering the person but those of your fellow citizens who are not the victim. However, you have to have a system that works to eliminate racism/xenophobia but that can impact people's perception.
    That all being said, human rights should apply to everyone, including victims and their families. Families should be able to make the case for the death penalty and a jury of ones peers should make the decision. The state should only act in accordance with the 'will of the people' not as a deterrent
    In order for this system to work properly however, you need your citizens to be educated enough to understand legal arguments and evidence, which even in industrialized countries that is a challenge.
