I have a dear friend that lives in St.Petersburg,Russia and we were talking live on cam with each other and the police came,grabbed him and took him in and all he was doing was walking home from his job while talking with me on live video telling me about his day of work and then what he is seeing as he was walking by the protesters. I haven't heard from him now in 4 days and we normally talk either live or via email. I'm fearing for his life now.

I'm proud of the Russian people for protesting in what they believe in, or leaving because they don't trust their government currently. It's truly amazing how fast Russia has flipped itself upside down. If the war in Ukraine meant so much to these politicians, punishing your own people isn't going to help your cause. It's scary to think how bad things are or could get for EVERYBODY.

No protests at the murder, rape and pillaging of innocent Ukrainians, and thus I have no mercy for the apathetic russian middle class who enjoyed the comforts of their government until it negatively impacted them too. I am American and hold myself to the same standard. I have no control over the US govt but we as a people have failed to control our own oligarchs in cases like Vietnam and Iraq.
