There is no gears. It is nit a gear shifter it is a drive shifter. You other go forward, reverse or in neutral. Not hard. Otherwise great review of a great car.
have you tried 360 ° kamera version? if im right ,that version gives much better image quality. This is an annoying thing in austral as well,360° looks better thant the normal package with only rear parking camera
for a car that cost 20-25K€ less than its competitor on similar trim/specs (q5 sportback hybrid, GLC coupe hybrid, etc.), this is car is a no brainer. Even if, i must admit, that putting 60K€ on a renault for a the top trim could be disconcerting...
Max. You have become a fully fledged Reviewer! And what a review! Other car brands, please note! Let Max review your " motor"! Confess I do like Renault. For some unknown reason I had 3 Renault Clios! And covered some mileage in them. As EVs go the Megane and now the 5 are certainly where it is at in terms of EVs. Put it another way light years ahead of anything Tesla, Kia or Hyundai produce and...so called design? Really? As for Renault I am not sure about the use of Alpine on various models... Not a good idea. As for You, Max cannot imagine you will be trading in the 4 CS anytime soon! 🤣🤣👍.
What about reliability? Renault is famous for problems with electronics. Here it is highly complicated and do not believe that service will fix it fast 😂 it is not japan hybrid...
Because the German competitors are better in every way. This drives badly, has bad power trains and rides poorly, it's just surface kitsch in the interior. Nothing else.
Does the BMW X2 drive better than this? Please go try one the ride is pretty harsh on that car. The Rafale is much more comfortable, I tested both models back to back and ended up buying the Rafale. The exterior/interior is also better looking on the Rafale imo.
I am German and I disagree totally with your comment. You completely over estimate German cars (they no longer are what they were) and bash that Renault Rafale in the most grotesque fashion. You have obviously never driven one to say such absurd comments. Or you just can't cope with the fact that the French are able to make formidable cars in 2024. I think that's the real reason. I drove BMWs all my life, last one couldn't stop having technical issues that costed me almost 15k euros to fix it.
@@Oklm23 I don't know about the X2 but I'm currently looking at a small-ish SUV-ish vehicle and in the last month I tried the Formentor, the X3, the GLC 300, Kona N, Rafale, new Q5, BYD Song (chinese version), Dongfeng T5 and even the Haval H6 and I gotta tell you the X3 was BY FAR THE WORST OF THEM ALL. It drives like a horse buggy. I even thought that there was something wrong with the sample they provided and I went to another dealership in another town and it was exactly the same horrible ride quality. My old X3 from 2008 had better ride quality than the new one.
@@iPpBG well I guarantee you that the X2 is even harsher than the X3 so you can get the idea. I believe the Germans now make their SUV harsher with standard suspension so you have to upgrade to their air suspension or adaptive suspension option to make it smoother (and of course spend more money).
Great Video! Thanks a lot 😁👍🏻
Glad you liked it!

How did you find the suspension on the rafale . I've bought one and I'm finding it hard on small bumps and a bit wobbly on flat road
Suspension wise I found it quite forgiving. I don’t think the steering response helps, I found it too responsive
Has Renault missed a trick by not offering an electric only version? Good review! 👍🏽
I think they have, thanks for your comment

Main problem with any car over 40k in the uk is the additional road tax you have to pay ,after the first year .
Yep until 2030

Thanks Keith! Much appreciated mate 🙌 talking of Tesla’s… expect one on the channel soon! Agree on the use of alpine 👍
Its 408 size?
No the Rafale is bigger and better looking too.
Great review, pity with all that technology and small engine it still only manages 40 to 60 mpg the same as any old diesel engine.
and that's a good thing because diesel is 10 times more poluant with NOx that petrol, so it's big improvement

I didnt experience any problems with the car. If we did we would’ve highlighted it
Because a German badge won't necessarily depreciate like a French badge?
But you will pay 20k more for badge,so at the end you lose the same...
@@somethingnew6054Exactly.
German stuff is overrated and isn't what it was sadly.
Great looking car with an awful engine choice!
Agreed!

I had five BMW5 cars before I bought the Renault Rafale this year. I love the car and definitely would not be rushing back to BMW.
