- I fabricated this grinder stand out of some random wrenches and car parts I had laying around. A little tig welding and poof...a custom grinder stand. Be sure to subscribe for new videos weekly!

WOW!!! Talk about thinking out-side of the box, you made the BOX!!! Thank's so much for sharing.
thanks
Крутая вещ получилась, и смотрится стильно и функциональная!!!
Definitely a cool garage conversation piece. I like it! May have to make one for myself.
thanks
looks great, awesome garage talking point.
waynenoonan1234 yea that was my hope...when people come hang in the shop I want them to have an experience that makes them want to go home and make something.
At first I was like man he's gonna need those wrench's..Then I seen the Taiwan..Nice Job!
Junior D haha...yea they are serving the only purpose they are good for. I never have any bolts that large either
i want to make this, but i need those wrenches for my inner tie rods. -_-
Makes me want to go to Harbor Freight and buy some wrenches to tear up and weld together for this... and other house hold fixtures... Thank you for the inspiration... Now time for some kick ass wrench work on Crown Spoil
Reece Russell Thanks...inspiring other is my goal. I have some plans of custom work for crown spoyal. Waiting on some tools :)
Very cool build. Very unique.
Part-Time Fabrication Thanks
Nice job. I knew there was a reason I was keeping all those crappy old Taiwan wrenches. Back when I was a kid it was all I could afford. They *usually* worked ok.
+Blakgun lol...thats about the same story I have
Nice stand. Nothing worthwhile is easy LOL!
Tim datoolman TRUTH
Thats good stuff mate
+Mick Sydney thanks
Man that's cool as shit....
BADAZZ93STANG thanks
Three different gears and a few keys to such a primitive thing. Unprofitably.
That thing is so cool my dad would love that if you could sell those
Mya Pierson Thanks...They are probably a little too time consuming to make for what folks would probably be willing to pay.
I wouoda done the top like the bottom. But it looks good
that's cool man
thanks
Esas llaves salen fortunaaa , odio cuando mutilan asi las herramientas. Quedo muy lindo, pero no lo hagas mas.
No al corte de herramientas. Saludos desde argentina
that is bad ass
thanks
Where did you purchase your helmet. Also what brand do you recommend as far as helmets?
I like the Optrel hoods
Very Unique. I like it. You must have been using a gas lens with a stick out like that. How many CFMs were you set at?
+valveman12 yeah...I think maybe 15
The Fab Forums Thanks for the reply
no problem
It looks like Terminators' art object.
lol
That's nice!!! what TIG welder did u use ?? Thanks
thanks...I have a miller diversion
Love your channel and love these project welding vids. I'd never work on a car except to change the oil or I'd risk losing a limb I'm sure. LOL Can you tell me what part the gears are that are welded to the brake disc? I'd like to find some of those for something similar I might try but I have no idea what to call them. Thanks and keep up the great work. I'm already working on chain bottle openers for Christmas presents for some of my gear head buddies.
Also, could you tell me what settings you were using to tig this? I'm just starting out welding and this gives me a ton of inspiration. Thanks again!
They are what I call sliders out of a manual transmission
Thanks bud. Keep up the good work!
what filler wire did you use
Got a video of the bench grinder in action?
+No Neck yeah I have several. I think the turbo induction video I use it alot
Nice
+ArcanePath360 thanks
Sweeeet
sweet as bro
thanks
how did you ensure the top and base were parallel? Did you just eyeball it or square to table or???
to be honest I cant remember. I am pretty sure I threw a digital protractor on it to insure it was level
Do you have a photo somewhere of your portaband stand? Great channnel by the way.
+derrick mcnew Are you talking about the stand?
Yeah. The stand for your portaband. Is it just cradled in there or do you have bolts running in to the tool somewhere? I just clamp mine into my vise but I worry about the plastic cracking.
It just slides in the cradle. I actually have a video on my channel of me making it.
Hey mabey you can make a bar stool the same way am i right
Yeah you probably could
what kind of mechanix gloves are those?
just the standard black ones
Can I use a mig welder to make stuff like this ?
+jdm vtec yeah you sure can

You are welcome, really like your projects. I also do steampunk/art deco lamps. Please, check the link I have sent to you in my earlier comment and feel free to join us. When publishing your stuff, you are allowed to add the link to your YT channel, so hope that will help you to get more subscribers. Thanks and good luck!
This is really cool stuff. I want to make totally outrageous stuff with my everlast. I need to get a bit better with my tig welding first though.
I think this already looks great! I was always amazed by creative people, especially in this case: taking an old stuff and making something new out of it, giving it new life... Again, please, join us in our group and share your art there, too!

What filler rod did you use to weld those wrenches?
+MrTurbo458 just a standard mild steel...not sure what alloy
Great idea. I would like to make something like this with my everlast stick welder.
why did you use tig, over mig?
+David Cruz I always prefer TIG over mig...so much cleaner
+The Fab Forums yeah that's true plus it does look better
Could you have done the whole project with mig even the wrenches???
209chevymon yes
I'm a new tig welder. Just learning the basics haha but what size tungsten are you using in this video? And why?
Depends on how many amps your running. A thin tungsten 1.2mm is for thin gauges and sheet eg 1.5mm and 50/60amps Max but a large tungsten like a 3mm would be used for thicker sheet or plate eg 5mm and 200 amps. A large tungsten struggles at lower amps and the arc will be jumping around a lot etc so you will need to change to a smaller sized tungsten. A smaller tungsten is just the opposite, very good at lower amps eg thinner gauges but will disintegrate at higher amps and you will be able to see that in the end of the tungsten being frayed.
+imissmynut thanks for the help! I ended up just looking up charts online lol
Zack Hanney Yeah you can use those charts or on the inside of the door (If your machine has a door) or on the side of the machine sometimes there are charts there!
thanks again!
what music groups are you playing??
Its just some stuff from the youtube audio library
Nice idea, but what a waste of good spanners
+steve gray I had some extras laying around
I thought i was watching "custom spray mods"
Geniee is that a show?
yea, he uses that music in his intro. dont worry, i was just being a smart ass :)
gotcha
no disrespect to you or your channel either, i wasn't trying to promote another channel like i see some people sometimes do on youtube. :)
No problem
Класс!!! Парень сделал столик для точилки. А что это за сварка- пайка?
ты это серьёзно? Столько инструмента угробил и класс?
The Fab Forums where do I buy????
you interested in purchasing it?
Yea a little bit it's cool af
Thanks
Your welcome man.
What's the song?
CorvetteCarCraft Back_and_Forth
The Fab Forums Band please?
No idea...you can find it the create (audio) section of youtube.
Your choice of music is really bad
