Jim Carrey (Lloyd) & Lauren Holly (Mary ) actually fell in love making this movie & got married in 1996. They divorced the next year after 8mos of marriage due to Jim Carrey's mental health issues.
I love how the when the cops stormed the hotel room at the end and Harry drops the gun and sticks his hand up they say “Not you, dummy!” But really, that was actually the smart thing to do, even if he was in on it. Never be the one holding the gun when a cop says drop the gun and get your hands in the air. Always comply. Even if you’re not the perp. Otherwise they might get confused and shoot you by accident.

It's not clear on whoever is dumb and dumber. Sometimes one is dumber than the other. It was done like this on purpose.
I feel like Lloyd is dumber. It's due to Jim Carrey's over the top performances. Scenes with Harry explaining what was up to Lloyd happened way more than Lloyd explaining what was up to Harry.

Glad to see your back posting again 😊 also my apologies by not commenting on this movie reaction as soon as you posted, I've been busy working on finding some songs to perform on my channel, this movie was crazy hilarious 😂😆 I know you've mentioned that you're not really familiar with Jim Carrey, but personally for me I grew up with them, although I haven't seen everything a movie that he starred in, but the ones that I know him very well in and that are my personal childhood favorites are, the mask that released back in I believe 1995 or 96 which is the year I was born LOL, the live action adaptation of Dr Seuss's The Grinch who stole Christmas, and my new favorite's and what release just recently is the live-action adaptation of Sonic the hedgehog and Sonic the hedgehog 2 that released just earlier this year, anything he does expect to laugh 😂 he is just that hilarious, it looks like this movie is one of his earlier movies, and will heartbreaks me the most is that I believe I heard a rumor or I believe he's confirmed this year that he was retiring 😥 but nonetheless I can understand because he's older now and he's at a point where he doesn't have to work anymore as much as he did when he was younger in his career, not only he's very funny, but he seems like a really nice guy in real life, if it's true that he is retiring then I personally wish him the best 😁 so Katherine how have you been? Have things been okay with you?

The man that played the main bad guy in this, Charles Rocket, was formerly on Saturday Night Live. He was fired shortly after he accidentally dropped the F-bomb on the show. He killed himself by slicing his own throat in a field that was part of his property.

I watched Dumb and Dumber with my 80 year young mum a few years ago on free to air TV. Right at the end when they passed on the job of rubbing oil on the buss full of bikini clad hotties, mum said "they are really dumb & dumber"

There's a ton of hilarious Jim Carrey movies! 😂 Some of my favourites are Ace Ventura 1&2, The Mask, Liar Liar, Dumb & Dumber ofc lol but I'll recommend Me, Myself & Irene 😂 off the charts crazy!

Don't know if you covered any of these following films yet. Although I don't get to catch all your reactions. I do enjoy them when they available. Check out, The Original Death Wish staring Charles Bronson, Jaws ( considered by many to be the original summer blockbuster ), The Exorcist ( considered one of the first of it's kind in the horror genre and a classic ). The 1st and 3 Rd Die Hard movies. Almost anything by Clint Eastwood and Goodfellas and the Godfather parts 1-2. Take care stay safe and be well always !

Cable Guy is an underappreciated gem. It's very funny, but the humor is more dark than Dumb and Dumber. Check it out.
Not really, Cable Guy wasn’t as under appreciated as alot of people would have you believe. He got alot of credit for it… he got $20 million for it which was unheard of at that time in 1996 for a comedic actor. He also won 2 MTV movie awards for it.
Also, people these days like it alot more than people back in 96. A movie that’s more under appreciated than Cable Guy was “Me, Myself and Irene” from 2000.

The Mask was Jim Carrey's best performance. No one could do what he does in that movie as well. You need to review that one.
The ending reminds me of a time when I was a young and these two very attractive girls started talking to me in a restaurant, told me they were going back to their hotel room to "work out" and asked if I wanted to come, and I turned them down. I had just broken up with my girlfriend and was depressed about it, hoping to get her back, so yep, I actually turned those two fine young ladies down. Didn't take me too long to regret it. ;)

Jim Carrey was paid $7 million for his role. Jeff Daniels was only paid $50,000.

Because Jim Carrey was just becoming a HUGE STAR!
Jeff Daniels wasn’t. The exact reason why Daniels got paid so little was because the studio didn’t want him in the movie. They wanted a comedian to play the Harry character. The only reason Daniels was even in the movie was because Jim Carrey wanted him as well as the directors (the Farrelly bros) so the studio only paid Daniels $50,000 in hopes that he’d think that would be too low so he’d quit and leave the project, but no he accepted it
You left out them both driving in town on the mini bike with icicles frozen on them, walking by a pretty girl with her man and saying "look at the butt on that... yeah, he must work out", and then the most iconic line of the whole movie when she says there's 1 in a million chance of being with him and he says "So you're telling me there's a chance". You got to do better on your editing.
They don't know which lines are iconic.
Besides, those lines are on every other reaction. I like seeing different reactions, not the same one every time.

Yeah he broke his tooth when he was a kid. He just had it fixed in all of his other movies. But to make the character Lloyd look more deranged he popped the cap off his tooth exposing his real chipped tooth
