Lucas & Elizabeth belong together. Lucas is gorgeous😊
So it's all about looks,a long lasting relationship requires more than that:common goal,values and lifestyle for example.
In time, Elizabeth will realize that giving up Lucas was one HUGE, big mistake. She may think she's not comparing Nathan to Jack, but is she? Plus, she'll begin to miss what she had with Lucas & find what a horrible mistake it was breaking up with him. Sorry, but there's absolutely no chemistry between Elizabeth & Nathan. Eventually she'll see Nathan is childish & immature. He acts more like her students.
Funny, Nathan knows Elizabeth better, and wants her to be happy, more than Lucas. Nathan fans see the chemistry between Nathan and Elizabeth, and none between Elizabeth and Lucas. To each his own.

I honestly think that she’s a better fit for Nathan. I’ve always been team Nathan and it seems like she was trying to force a romantic romantic love with Lucas because she was afraid of Nathan‘s job, but I think she’s learning that but any job or anything anything could happen And that she needs to live the best she can with the one she loves most
The story was always about a Mountie and a Teacher. It’s about the heart not the head. Nathan was never given a chance to have anything but friendship with Elizabeth. Anyway, they always had chemistry. Even Lucas knew that but he went ahead anyway to try and win her love. Can’t buy love it it either there or not
They, l/e had love ❤️ too and alot of chemistry..cause they are great actors...same will be now cuz they are great actors!!! Love ♥️ the show and HV and all the people.

Hopefully, Lucas will find love again. He and Elizabeth had chemistry together, but there is no Chemistry between Elizabeth and Nathan. Elizabeth and Nathan don't even look right together to me, at all, but that's just my opinion.

I think E&N equals a mismatch.
If she broke up with Lucas because she didn't want to leave the valley then they should still be together since he is going nowhere now.
Her character has changed for the worse since she abruptly stop loving Lucas and is flirting with Nathan.
Another part of the show that has taken an about turn is the fact that Lucas and Jack jr.had grown close and now there is little or no relationship
between them.
Is it that Elizabeth must have all the eligible bachelors in Hope Valley.

@@Aurora-ob9ix Lucas never wanted to leave HV either. It was Elizabeth & others that pushed him into running for governor. This is part of why Season 10 didn't make sense. Why didn't Bill or Lee run for governor since they wanted to be mayor? The writer's having Lucas say 'I think I found my calling' was stupid, but not any more unbelievable as Elizabeth saying she couldn't give Lucas her whole heart....what was she doing kissing, hugging & practically proposing to Lucas herself? AND, all the time she's had romantic feelings for Nathan? It's like WCTH ended with Season 9 & Season 10 was the beginning of a spinoff with different stories & changed characters. So, if you see chemistry between Nathan & the character Elizabeth has become, selfish, self-centered, rude, childish & obnoxious, then by all means, enjoy their relationship.
@@sharonnorton2708 What happenned between Elisabeth and Lucas is realistic.This kind of things unfortunately happens is some marriages,where people just grew apart and at some point you realise that your goals don't match anymore and you have some décisions to make.
Lucas is not a child and Elisabeth is not his mom,if he didn't want to run for Governor,he would have say no and in Hope Valley they would have looking for another way to save their town,this is a big decision,noone runs for Governor if he doesn't think he can handles it.Why do you want Lee or Bill to do it,everyone has different calling, not everyone can do everything.It's not stupid for Lucas to say he found his calling,It's very realistic,sometimes you do a lot of things but they are not what you are really born for and in life a lot of people are in this situation.Elisabeth and Lucas found themselves on a crossroad:he realized that he had to run for Governor because it was a calling and she realized that meddling into politic and everything that it entails was not for her.
Anyway,Lucas has never been right for Elisabeth,the writers started to change Elisabeth character in Season 8 to create that relationship,they also had to change Lucas,they remove his mysterious and adventurous side,but this made his character less interesting.If John Tinker had stay true to the characters as they were written when he came,in season 8 she would have never chose Lucas.Now everyone is at his place,and Lucas character is very interesting now.
