I don’t think bison get euthanized for tourist tossing, but I’m not 100% sure. Bears sometimes if they become a problem bear, but they usually try relocating further from people first. Baby bison I have heard have been killed because they were rejected by the mom and the rest of the herd after being handled by humans. That really sucks.

As a teenager I tried to pet a Bison through a farm square wire fence and saw its eyes roll back and pulled my hand away just in time! It immediately smashed its horn into the exact place my hand was. The fence wire was mangled badly. I got lucky and educated!

Exactly. It's an animal and we can't prosecute it for attacking a stupid human (rightly so). That too and endangered, protected animal. So going near it will increase the risk of the animal attacking her, which in turn will risk the life of the endangered animal since if it attacked, someone would most likely shoot it down. So its a valid prosecution for endangering the life of a protected animal.

If the animal attacked her, and someone shot the animal, the person who shoots the animal is the one killing the animal, not her. If the animal is legally put down for attacking her, then the law or the establishment is killing it, not her.

Not necessarily, my father didn't like me much and when we went to Yellowstone I was 11-12 years old and about 3' tall, I was SMALL, well he sent me to take pictures of a group of Moose. What I didn't know, or were told, was that Moose area extremely territorial and I was a couple hundred yards from our car and about 25 feet from the Moose which included very young moose, a couple of females and one very large bull that looked very annoyed with me. He started pawing the ground the way our bull back home would when getting ready to do something not good. So I got out of there slowly then at a dead run when I felt far enough away to run.
All my father said was that stupid of you. Those things will kill you. A handy fact to have before you went to get close. I had two more close calls before we left there. One with a Brown Bear and one with a Grizzly and her two cubs. I have sent at least three 'guardian angels' into early retirement. The one I have now has lost a step or two but I'm 72 and not in great shape. So I think he is my last one.

i get it when it comes to something like a lion. but a bison is not gonna hunt a person. no need for euthanizing a herbivorous animal for killing a person. predators sometimes start targeting people after eating one or 2. but bison aint doing that

Mind you, my Pyr didn´t even try to bite him, but he did turn his head, bare teeth, towards the guy (at lightning-speed), so the guy suffered a BRUTAL FANG-IMPACT in his forehead. ¡¡God, did I ENJOYED it!!
