How they created "Vena Sera" produced by Michael "Elvis" Baskette. For more info go to chevelleonline.net, register in the forums, there you can download this video and more =).
Synergy, that is totally true. It is a great balanced album. I love the way their sound goes from heavy to slow and back and forth over again within one single song. It feels like two conflicting emotions within the same song. It's a masterpiece of a studio album and a personal favourite of mine from them.
9 times outta 10 when ppl make comments like this on some random rock album, I would totally disagree. But in this case, I was there.. I bought it and wore it the fuck out. Chevelle’s best LP, hands down.
5:05 lyrics to Saferwaters. Pretty cool. I think this was one of the best written Chevelle albums. Sci-Fi Crimes gets the edge though because it is diverse. TTOT was awesome but lacked experimentation, like everything was recorded with the same amp, bass, and drum kit.
THANK YOU! Exactly, how can you say that an album with songs like Antisaint, Straight Jacket Fashion, Well Enough Alone, I Get It, and Paint the Seconds isn't the best?
well they are heavier from a musical standpoint cause being heavier can be the lyrics mean darker things and he said he did alot of screaming in the past and he wanted to get away from all of that and go into the upper regions of his voice instead try something new and thats why they made the album heavier though if you listen to all of vena sera theres no soft song really even like saferwaters is a slow heavy song
2:34 Wtf does he say exactly? Mumbling doesn't mix well with poor audio quality and loud background music. I liked this album. But Hats Off to the Bull is their best imo.
Mark M he said on this one it’s been two years, it’s the one downfall of the album. Sounds pretty clear lol. Maybe they updated the audio since you last was on here.
No! Dean is 10 times better than Joe ever was. Maybe the reduction in screams is a good thing. Ever think about it? I guess not because their screams are a result of mounted tension in the song. Not just a chaos of screaming through-out all of it. That's stupid and it sounds really aweful. You just don't realize how superior Pete's vocals are to any other in alt. metal, hard rock, post-grunge or whatever!
Spaz? What do you even mean by that? I think you're just making up stuff so It seems like a good insult... typical for your kind. I've witnessed Chevelle perform twice and I think I know the difference between their real brother Joseph and their way better brother in-law Dean. Who cares about the ''original.'' What matters is that Chevelle has finally found someone that will stick with them till the end. I think you're the one who needs to keep still from spazing out.
This album is an underrated masterpiece

Who ever gave negative feedback on this comment obviously didn't listen to Vena Sera...
it's the beginning of antisaint, the song that's playing for that entire video.
Completely agree with everything, except that Vena Sera is my favourite album :]
Looking at the backstory, it all makes sense, about their beef with Joe N' all.
I believe he is talking about their look.
@Grunty7 THANK YOU! Someone had to say it.
THANK YOU!
Exactly, how can you say that an album with songs like Antisaint, Straight Jacket Fashion, Well Enough Alone, I Get It, and Paint the Seconds isn't the best?
Because there's an album with songs like Get Some, The Clincher, Vitamin R, To Return, and Panic Prone...
