Hate with the (?). In a relationship you can only really hate someone if you really love them.
I think the ? is a Japanese pun for the word hate.

For me..Kanami Tōno, lead guitarist and composer is the most impressive musician of the 21st Century. Pure genius as a composer and true Rock n’ Roll Star on stage. She is The Special One 🔥❤️ Magical band. Best liveband out there 💪💥❤️

Usually, Miku does the lyrics. This however, was written by Seiki for a friend whose husband had cheated.
Great move to read and review the lyrics before you actually listen to the song in order get a feel for the music's fiery intention.
How can anyone love a song about hate so much? Just listen to "Hate?" and you'll understand. Thsi is rock and roll at its finest. These women rally kick-ass! Roskoe, the story behind the song and the lyrics is that Kanami was in an angry mood when she composed the music and she told the other band-members that. Both Miku and Saiki wrote lyrics for the song. Miku, being more subtle and circumspect presented her version and Saiki being a lot more direct presented her version. The band went with Saiki's version. Saiki has stated the reason behind her lyrics was that she was upset about so many men who cheated on their wives (including one of her close friends) during the pandemic, so she vented. Now the words make complete sense.

Yes, Kanami is a totally other level guitarist. And she is wild on stage. But, the most amazing thing is that she is the most shy unassuming woman you can imagine. She is always in the background at interviews and do not speak so much. I saw an interview with the guitarists in the band, Kanami and Miku. And Kanami did hide behand Miku all the time and only spoke when the interviewer asked anything directly to her. Being in the foreground is obviously not her thing. BTW - she write almost all BAND-MAID songs and Miku write almost all lyrics. Kanami use a keyboard while composing, not a guitar, as far as I understand. I do not remember if it is MISA or Kanami that writes the bass parts, probably MISA.
