I was there that night just the best concert i have ever seen played for nearly 4 hrs!!! ... gr8 song one of my favs haunting and hypnotic you Rock Robert Smith
This is certainly authentic to the original studio recording from back in 1980 and a respectable tribute, but the live version below from 1992 in Paris is PHENOMENAL...having layered keys, Porl on lead, and the legendary Boris Williams on drums with his masterful fills and impeccable timing! ruclips.net/video/yJ_KsOAuWH8/видео.html
I think, that Jason is a great drummer, but Laurence was a bit better, but it isn`t realy matter. He play well. And i realy can`t understand, why you fool them
why is jason POUNDING that snare? it's like he isn't even listening to mix and has no "touch". hopefully they can mix his snare down in the dvd release.
It's a piss poor recording using a single mic - unbalanced and way over saturated at that. Did you guys stop to think about that fact? Nope. Just keep on bitching about Jason for bitchin's sake. 🤪
He's gotten better in the last 20 years. And Robert seems to like his playing style, or maybe he's just cheap? Robert can invest more into his house than with Boris. Boris would probably want all he's worth to come back. lol
hypnotic, mesmerising and utterly compelling. Fave song off seventeen seconds
I second this. I have loved this song for more than 30 years. It has the spook.

+++Relax.Mr.Robert J.S....WIZARD++
@JubeProductions I agree! his snare sounds really bad without any soul in his playing.

Thanks. Simon has aged really well...Robert not so much.
