It would be unethical to make the decision to replace simply because you are busy or not. The decision should be based on ethically What is the right thing to do for the customer and the car. Using situational ethics is wrong. The shops should be taught to do what is right, not what is convenient. Many shops do repair parts that should be replaced. I like how you used the Masters authored idea of "metal shop out times".
Why would you just assume someone knows how to structure and do an estimate? Here I am screwed because I don't know how to do that yet you're saying screw you too bad it sounds like. This is frustrating. Thanks anyways..
