I appreciate this mans vocabulary. Not a lot of people can concisely convey their ideas. Intelligence with like this is rare here.
Oh wow. Blessings received this morning. Thank you for the kind words.
I thought the same thing after I saw his reply on another post very informed and articulate but to the point.🎉
@@mitchelljuchno9912 Much appreciated. I thank you very much.
Botany professor, good teacher.
I bought this thanks to you. I hope you get some sort of credit. I like that you do not typically do brands. Also, glad your wife was cool with how it looks.
Thank you! That's awesome. 🙌🏽 Did you go through my shop to purchase it? And yes, wife loves it. 😍
@@growingouttheboxhow do I purchase from the UK ?
Man that setup, porch garden etc, is an envy for sure.
I do appreciate that and it is definitely work in maintaining and trying to record videos. Literally takes almost a day.
@growingoutthebox 100% it is effort. And the fruit is yours to enjoy! The videography, i dont know about, but im sure thats even more work!
Best gardening channel on YT!
Wow, thank you! I really do appreciate that
I second that 🎉🎉🎉
@@Probity100 I just enjoy sharing as I learn. I really do appreciate that.🤗

I'm really enjoying your videos - even this promo. Here in Texas, we NEED that water in the summer😂❤!! Please keep those tips coming;)
It's a paid promo but something I really do like. Money is not a motivator. I get questions all the time from elders saying they want to continue gardening but are not able to get around as well as they use to. This planter or something similar I think is a great way to keep them engaged into that thing they so love.
Brilliant. If you don't like it I don't like it. I want my plants like yours.
Awesome channel love your videos, good information thanks for sharing ❤
Thank you Gwen. I really appreciate you taking time out of your day to comment.
I always watch your garden advise and videos and I appreciate the way you teach us. I never noticed how nice you keep your yard and exterior home. Looks like you have a really nice and cared for home there my Friend.
I take pride in my grow area. It’s like taking a break from the world where you can just take in life
@@growingoutthebox I feel the same way. I have learned that I have a connection to the earth through growing and caring for my plants. The way I know the roots must be healthy as the plant. There are lessons in the dirt for sure. Also the pride of harvesting and feeding family and friends with produce they can trust. Growing is beneficial in every direction you can look. Have a great day.
Thank you!😊
Love those pots
Thank you so much for your support
Where do you buy this kit? Love it and also your knowledge. Just discovered you, bingeing on your videos 🇬🇧 new subscriber 🇬🇧
Sweet house.
Thank you. Hopefully I will get around to the greenhouse this year
I also use diatomite / diatomatecous earth with / in place of the perlite for drainage & wicking, but not in this specific application
Interesting? 🤔
@@growingoutthebox I started using the diatomite for Japanese maples in pots, I love in the northeast so the soil freezing & expanding can be a problem, and the diatomite doesn't do that and allows for drainage. Love your videos!!!!
@@joedecristoforo5434 Thanks for the tips. Sometimes to think about.
So I purchased the minis and I used your tip with the perlite.
I hope you used my like for the discount?
@@growingoutthebox I ordered them before I saw your video. Next time I will.
How much media can you fit in one of those? I’ve been looking at other self irrigated planters and potentially making my own.
They hold 2 qf of soil. glnk.io/vzw5/1sy
@@growingoutthebox thank you.
I’ve tried self watering planters before and ended up with smelly rotten roots and soil
That is very possible. So far so good with this one.
Just because it’s self watering doesn’t mean you have to keep your roots and soil wet 24/7. I’d try to let it get fairly dry before refilling with water, and what you’ll be doing is creating an artificial rainstorm for a day or so. Versus swamping the roots out. Idk
@@Dunkaroos420 Well said. That is the purpose of the float.
@@growingouttheboxyou may want to pinn that one
@@sherei9530 I love when people offer good input
Where to buy that container?
Thanks for the message. There’s a collection of the @vegogarden self watering planters glnk.io/vzw5/1sy
Were you get those pots?
We have them in our store. growingoutthebox.com/
Perlite will go green if its left wet, in my experience
When exposed to light, yes.
@@growingoutthebox That’s a good point. It’s oxidation, you won’t find the Perlite turning green under the surface of the soil
👀👀
Hey Lady 😊
Hey Amigo. Wonder if you can answer me an indoor plant question. I re-potted my monstera in to a larger pot and used regular potting soil. It smells like mildew. It was fine for a few weeks but it stinks bad now. Is there a treatment that I can use to fix this soil? Thanks Bruvv
Yes, replace it and check your drainage before it kills your plant.
