Love that your not fan-boying over this film. I love the warm tones, I love gold 200 in my 35mm.
Youve actually done one of the more comprehensive reviews, comparing cameras and light meters, I enjoyed hearing your thoughts.
I still like Gold 200- I'm happy its available in 120 for the medium format nerds! I just like that you gave a super honest review!

I've shot some Gold in a Rolleiflex and a Pentax 645n. Not a bad stock at all in 120.

Quick tip for de-yellowing thoriated glass: exposure to any strong light source will reverse the yellowing, not just UV light. I used a NÄVLINGE LED desk lamp from Ikea for a few days to bleach a Takumar 50mm 1.4 that was badly yellowed. The LED light puts out minimal heat and can be more tightly focused on the lens elements only, so you don't run the risk of heating up the lens and having grease flow out onto the aperture blades.

    Nice!
It seems like a film that is ment to be affordable and that you want to shoot as a every day film!
    Have a good week!

I think you're right. Even if I prefer the Portra, I'm delighted it's out there. Enjoy your week, too!

Those Kodak Gold pictures look like the seventies film I didn't like, and why I'm more of black & white shooter today.

Funny you should say that. I had a friend comment on the vintage feel of the images.
