    HOW MUCH DOES A DISNEY CRUISE COST
    When looking at prices for a Disney cruise, there are several different factors you need to consider. The main determinate of the overall price of a Disney cruise will be the cruise ship cabin category. Interior rooms will be the least expensive, whereas concierge level and suites will be the most expensive.
    Disney Cruise Line consists of only 5 ships. However, it is generally true that newer ships are more expensive. Further, the region in which the ships are sailing and the time of year will impact the total costs of your trip. How much a Disney cruise costs will definitely vary depending on the destination. Sought after locales, like Alaska or Hawaii, will be more expensive than the Bahamas or Caribbean. Certain times of year like the summer and school vacations are also considerably more expensive.
    Once onboard the ship, the Disney cruise fare includes most food, non-alcoholic beverages, entertainment, and onboard activities. However, the price of a Disney cruise doesn't include everything. Additional costs include specialty dining, shopping, and alcoholic beverages. Further, Disney Cruise Line does NOT offer drink packages like most other cruise lines.
    Of course, Disney cruise ships also have spas and salons that cost extra as well as makeovers at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for the little ones. Not to mention, there are other upcharges like shore excursions and cruise gratuities.
    When determining the total Disney cruise cost, you will need to also allocate funds for transportation to and from the cruise port. Flights and hotel stays will also increase the costs of the overall trip.
    Therefore, for a week long cruise, for a family of 4, we suggest budgeting $10,000 for a Disney Cruise. Yes, it can be done cheaper, but if you want to experience a little of everything, this is a pretty reasonable estimate.

    Just booked Carnival on the west coast for 2024 (5 nights). The cruise is for my wife, my 2 older children (over 21), and myself. My wife and I have a balcony room, My 2 older children have a separate interior room right across the hallway. The 5 days for all of us, including taxes, port charges, and gratuities is $1912.88. Booking thru Costco the rate is the exactly the same as Carnival. However we get 2% back as a Costco member, 2% back as a Costco visa card holder, and 2 $25.00 Costco gift cards. This brings the final total to $1912.88 - $126.00 Cost Value = $1787.00. Divided by 4 people = $446.72. Divided by 4 people/5 nights = $89.33 per night per person.

    While we're not independently wealthy😂 we do cruise Disney often. It takes planning and budgeting and splurging on a verandah room is well worth it. We'll be sailing the 8 night Bermuda on the Fantasy next week. This will include a Palo brunch which is so good. You always know you're on a Disney property and all of it is worth every penny!!!!😊

    We cruise Disney often. The smaller boats are unique, comfortable, friendly, excellent sight lines, all cabins nice, nice bars with good prices. The food is awful. All of it.
    The Wish is a cattle boat and not worth the cost.
    Disney Panama Canal cruises are priced with all the other lines. The biggest misunderstanding about Disney cruises is it’ll be overwhelmed with kids. It isn’t.

    I don't understand the appeal when the other 3 big cruise lines have bigger ships, better itineraries, and are almost half the price. Disney charges way too much of a premium for that 'Disney Experience' which, by most accounts, has gotten less and less special over the last few years.

    • @mindyschocolate
      @mindyschocolate Год назад +3

      The appeal is they aren’t obscenely huge, like RC. I don’t need to be rushed through dinner like cattle. RC has what, three dinners? That’s insane. I can’t imagine battling it out for a lounge chair. RC also nickel and dimes you. What are you REALLY saving? Also, Carnival, while cheap, also is seen as the Walmart of the seas, and for good reason. I think the have the most brawl videos on RUclips. People act like drunken idiots and I don’t want to be around those drunks, and I don’t want my family around that either. Factor in Disney’s kids club isn’t centered in a smoke filled, raunchy casino and I’d rather give Disney my money. Disney also doesn’t charge for a soda package, and room service is FREE. None of the other cruise lines offer that.

      We love the Disney cruises in our adult group but they are expensive. Cabins are best we’ve experienced without doing a suite. We always do specialty dining and need best available WiFi. Still, if you aren’t a big drinker you can get by with almost no charges over the cost of the cruise since so much is included. It helps that we live near a port so don’t need to fly or stay in a hotel.

    • @Jzx1103
      @Jzx1103 Год назад +2

      @@bbkangs You are definitely not being honest here, or probably comparing apples to oranges sailings. The prices cannot compare if you look at Disney vs RCL if you're looking at sailing at the same time and with similar category ships and rooms. Disney will always cost way more in this instance. Sure if you choose the oldest disney ship on a random April sailing vs RCL Icon of the Seas or Oasis ships or something during high summer season or holidays, Disney might come out a little cheaper lol. We've tried giving DCL our business, but seems like they're only interested in serving the ultra rich or folks who are such huge Disney fans that they're willing to give their entire family savings to Disney.

    • @bbkangs
      @bbkangs Год назад +1

      @@Jzx1103 I was looking at similar sailings. I’m going on the Disney Fantasy in May & RCL wanted over 4K for a balcony seven nights on one of the oasis class ships. (I’ve been on Oasis of the Seas, not my favorite ship. Too big in my opinion) I think it’s because Disney takes into account the age of the child and charges less. My daughter is 2 years old. But Royal just sees them as another passenger, period. The only cruise line that is always cheaper is Carnival.

    • @Jzx1103
      @Jzx1103 Год назад

      @bbkangs then that's a very special circumstance that doesn't apply to over 90% of passengers. Yes Royal counts 2 year olds as any other passenger. But the price difference would be pretty significant again once your kid is over 2. Thus far, I have yet to be able to find a Disney sailing that's not at least 2x the price of RCL for our family of 4 on the same days. Thus we ended up never trying it. Also I'm guessing the Oasis class ship you looked at was Wonder of the Seas, literally their newest and most expensive ship currently due to it being booked up so fast. That's more comparable to the Disney Wish, which currently a 3 nighter in May cost $2k a person
