The Geordi La Forge clip at the end....probably the best moment in Midnight Boys' history!!! Love that moment and seeing their faces react to it was amazing.
I have never laughed as hard at anything as I have at Jim Carrey's roles...except maybe the Geordi Laforge clip, holy shit that was so funny. A truly iconic moment in the Ringerverse.
Lost in the hilarity of the Geordi La Forge moment is the fact that this particular draft also was the 'Chuck made several ineligible picks that resulted in probably the funniest moment in Midnight Boys history'
Jim Carey as a comedian made $20 million before he broke serious which usually doesn’t happen. I do enjoy Sandler but Carey is the bigger start IMO. Maybe because I grew up with him more so.
I see you Jomi with the footie analogies (spot on btw - Neymar proved he could do it at the next level with that historic MSN front three, shame how his career withered after going to PSG)
It’s incredibly ironic that you guys are saying that the first Gladiator’s script was good as Russell Crowe has very open and public about how bad he thought it was when he signed on to do the movie. I’m pretty sure he’s also quoted somewhere saying that he thought that the ‘Maximus Decimus Meridius’ speech was bad too.
Midnight Boys comrades let me know what u think. Action : Keanu Reeves Comedy : Kevin Heart Oscar: Will Smith Black: Ice Cube Heart: I don’t watch those movies lmao Super hero : Hugh Jackman
If Adam Sandler and Jim Carrey's movies were released adj for inflation to oct. 2024, these are their top 5 highest ww grossing movies (excluding the likes of hotel Transylvania, sonic, batman etc.) Sandler 1-Big Daddy - $433.2m 2-Grown Ups - $394.1m 3-Click - $372.2m 4-The Waterboy - $368.3m 5-Anger Management - $335.4m Carrey 1-Bruce Almighty - $831.2m 2-The Mask - $748.9m 3-The Grinch - $636.2m 4-Liar Liar - $595.4m 5-Dumb & Dumber - $524.8m Both huge stars, but one is obviously huger
How about there's a scene where a dude is reading a newspaper in Latin while the printing press isn't invented for a millennium. But then at Maximus' shrine or whatever they carve his words in English??
"Dune Prophecy" will end up being a disappointment, but some people will claim that it didnt do well because of sexism. And im saying this as someone who is hoping things improve after being bored with the first episode.
The action scenes in "Gladiator 2" are as bland as its CGI. Seasoned fighters conveniently make rookie mistakes so the lead can win. Why was Denzel stabbing a chest plate in the same damn spot 10 times? It made absolutely no sense. And lets not forget that Denzel's character comes off as calculating and intelligent, only for him to not even consider the possibility of Roman soldiers siding with the Prince. It all amounts to bad writing, that relied heavily on stat power. I'll give one more example. Someone mentions that the people of Rome have "lost hope," but they don't SHOW that. Sure, there are beggars outside if the city, but there were beggars outside of every major city. They should've shown us how and why the citizens of Rome lost hope. And the acting wasn't good either. Mescal's performance was incredibly weak.
I don’t like this list. First of all, if you’re going to do a “greatest of all time” list, you have to be a bit of a historian in film. Meaning you have to look at the history of leading actors across all generations, for example Clark Gable, Sidney Poitier, Spencer Tracy, etc., to the present day. I get these guys are young but perhaps they should have someone on there who can speak to the entire landscape of film history from the silent era of cinema to the present day.
The “this is like watching Bronny James do the chalk toss” comment was hilarious. 😂
The Geordi La Forge clip at the end....probably the best moment in Midnight Boys' history!!! Love that moment and seeing their faces react to it was amazing.
Charles did say 'good pick' .. he shouldn't say anything negative towards Steve with this pick
@@juelz8090 I about died laughing 🤣 Jomi’s face , priceless 🤣
"We might glaze but we don't bounce." bro 😂😂😂
Jim Carrey wipes the floor against Adam Sandler. I couldn't believe Jomi and Charles think Sandler is bigger and better
Young people be clueless like that.
@@richardyoon4209 exactly !!!!
Say THAT with yo chest! 100%
I have never laughed as hard at anything as I have at Jim Carrey's roles...except maybe the Geordi Laforge clip, holy shit that was so funny. A truly iconic moment in the Ringerverse.
Honestly loool
Lost in the hilarity of the Geordi La Forge moment is the fact that this particular draft also was the 'Chuck made several ineligible picks that resulted in probably the funniest moment in Midnight Boys history'

Sandler has a deeper filmography but Carrey is undoubtedly a bigger star and a far superior comedic presence.
Shout out Charles, Harrison Ford in temple of doom is as heartthrob as it gets
Glad to see you guys back at it. Get these takes off my guys pewpew
The 'Real Steel' bonding moment was an all-timer for me.
Sandler's movies dont hold up that well
The only show where it's so good I'll take the spoilers on!
I was really hoping Charles would try and throw Piccolo in there somewhere
I cannot believe Jamie Foxx wasn't mentioned the entire draft.
Another great episode! Seeing a new video from y'all literally makes my day! Thanks y'all!
So many greats left off. Newman, Gossling, Redford, Bogart, Ford, Willis.
Harrison Ford was picked
Jack Nicholson snubbed
No George Clooney?! honorable mention😍
Yes Jomi, 21 Bridges!!!!
The fact that Harrison took that long was FUCKING INSANE
That Star Trek clip at the end lmao 😂
Van really lost a lot of weight since then. He looked so puffy in that clip
Jim Carey is bodying Adam Sandler. Stop it Kenny
Paul Newman heart throb. Hands down
Based on the categories, a little surprised none of Willis, Damon, Affleck, McConaughey, Gosling, Clooney or possibly Bradley Cooper weren't picked.
@@nxdxh Again, categories. But Cooper's body of work is surprisingly good and Affleck no slouch either. Pratt would be ridiculous, no argument there.
Van with the tan cowboy hat and hoody color coordination. I see you!
Jim Carrey better than Adam Sandler
Van , ya looking good today sir !!! Feeling the white hat and the glasses ❤❤
The fact that James Stewart's name wasn't even mentioned in the pod is ATROCIOUS
Haven’t watched the whole thing yet…but if Steve picks Tyler Perry in black, I’ll scream
He picked Denzel.
I will watch Robin Williams in anything, and I keep stumbling upon movies he's in that I've never heard of. What a legacy ❤
Great… great episode!
I see you Jomi with the footie analogies (spot on btw - Neymar proved he could do it at the next level with that historic MSN front three, shame how his career withered after going to PSG)

Tom Cruise in All the Right Moves was unbelievable!!
The Negotiator is top tier Samuel L Jackson
The Road to Perdition with Tom Hanks is so so good ❤
Facts! With Paul Newman too
@ omg yesssss 💜💜
Can anyone explain how these picks for actors play out? I.e. how do you win the draft?
The audience votes on social media
Think I’m taking Jack after DDL in Oscar tbh.
Daniel Day-Lewis is my favorite actor in the Oscar category
Should’ve had an “up and coming” category they had to pick.
We need to have a Kerm react cam at this point lmao
David Scarpa destroyed ‘Gladiator’ legacy 33:41
Sidney Poitier!
Steve is taking it...
What’s eating Gilbert Grape is amazing 🎉
Yesssss Steve Jim Carey 🎉he’s sooooo good !! He’s amazing in comedy and in dramatic roles
Nicholas Cage not been mentioned the entire pod. wow
Uncertainty as to whether Harrison Ford qualifies as an action or a heartthrob leading man is 100% nuts...
I like Dune prophecy. It’s a little slow but I love the lore and the universe. Give it a shot.
No Eastwood is crazy
Okay yea Charles . Robert is an icon period !!!
Debating Brad Pitt’s heartthrob status is CRAZY.
Okay Van yes Robin !! Legend ❤❤❤ !! He was such a versatile actor
Midnight Boys comrades let me know what u think.
Action : Keanu Reeves
Comedy : Kevin Heart
Oscar: Will Smith
Black: Ice Cube
Heart: I don’t watch those movies lmao
Super hero : Hugh Jackman
All time ep, pew pew!

Steve is fighting for his life every pod lmaooo
32:00 on the topic of script writing...I left the theatre thinking...they really don't write movies like they used to.
How about there's a scene where a dude is reading a newspaper in Latin while the printing press isn't invented for a millennium. But then at Maximus' shrine or whatever they carve his words in English??
We need a Midnight Boys episode on Wicked 👏🏼
Did they say anything about George Clooney?
"Dune Prophecy" will end up being a disappointment, but some people will claim that it didnt do well because of sexism. And im saying this as someone who is hoping things improve after being bored with the first episode.
Heath over Clooney?
Chris Tucker snubbed? Friday Series, Rush Hour Series, Fifth Element..
Brad Pitt definitely heart throb ❤❤❤❤ Legends of the Fall !! Omggggg
Marlon Brando absolutely !!!!!! Iconic, legend very very classy very handsome man ❤
No Ryan Gosling is the oversight of the year.
Steve’s pick of Daniel Day Lewis isn’t on the chart at the end… hilarious how everyone praises that pick and then it’s left off 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
Come on man...no one took George Clooney and Vin Diesel came out of Van's mouth first!
This was a real millennial draft, anyone seen a movie before the 90s?
No Nicholson but Leo? DeNiro over Pacino? Some odd choices
Charles not wanting to draft Johnny Depp bc it’s not moral is such a pandering take.
Okayyyyy Charles Will Ferrell !!! Love him !! He’s hilarious
Harrison Ford absolutely ❤heart throb ❤ very very handsome man !!
No Jack Nicholson...anywhere??
Give some love to young Val Kilmer.
I’m gonna rank Jim higher tho
You can see the bones of another story in this film.
there is no way Sandler is better than Carey.. they are talking like sandlers 90, 2000 run was yesterday
Charles , please ok you just got back 😂😂😂😂, Aviator is a very good movie
Clooney ain’t made the cut? Tough game lol
2Glad 2Ator Steven this made me HOLLER HAHHAHA
Paul Mescal the hottest actor in Hollywood right now?!
Pattinson !
Supes likes everything
Adam Sandler ❤❤❤
20:17 Hes such a hack XD His example is so dumb, dude this is the Director of Prometheus and Alien. And you talk about Tom Cruise dude, like wtf
No one said Jamie fox?!
matt damon
clooney heartthrob
The Jim Carrey hate was unreal.
YALL ARE OLLLLLD.
No Jackie Chan for action?! I don’t want trouble?????
As much as I love Phillip Seymour Hoffman, he was never a leading man.
Fun draft though. Charles wins
JAMIE FOXX

Ryan Gosling is a huge heartthrob! No honorable mention????
Harrison Ford. Hello?
You mean the guy who got drafted in this draft?
Van he of the transplanted hairline !
Jim Carrey was absolutely the bigger star..what??
Jim Carey is a legend. Adam Sandler is not, even through he's made some great movies. Jim Carey is larger than life, almost too good to be true.
He is not a ROM Com type of actor absolutely not
