It was so nice getting a change of scenery and working remotely from Launceston, let me know if you have any suggestions for cities or places that are great for artists to visit so that I can add them to my list! Would love to travel to some arty places next year and visit lots of galleries 😊✨
I believe my city (Ålesund, Norway) is very pretty. City center is built in an art nevo style with rock buildings that have amazing detailing to them. A bit outside city center you'll find fjords and small wooden cottages, some of which have grass roofs. We also have a viking museum which is an outdoor museum with viking era ships and a lake. There are also viking ships for exhibition if anyone whishes to see them. The best must be looking over the sea to find tall mountains in the distance while admiring the grass on your feet and wild flowers growing around you. Simply magnificent
I'm currently on a vacation trip through Europe and I definitely recommend Istanbul as a city, so rich with culture, I only spent 3 days there but it was absolutely amazing
I was just telling my husband the other day sketches are harder than the rest of the process, because the amount of creativity and problem solving involved. Great video! There were a lot of relatable moments and I was beating myself up for those things, but you're so easy with yourself. Thank you!
I love watching your videos because you show the reality of life as an artist. Your videos also motivate me to be a better artist and hopefully it can be my job when I am older 😊💖
Very lovely video. its so awesome spring is finally here. I love the blossom trees around town {Launceston) and around Tassie in general. I went hiking through greens beach yesterday. That was very invigorating.
I love traveling for conventions but hardly have enough time to draw and usually too exhausted. I recently went to Starbucks after a convention (the next day) before we drove out and was very happy to be able to do some work in my sketchbook :) You should definately travel to Melbourne - lots of things to see and be inspired by with more modern art.
It's so interesting to me that you went by yourself. I dont know that I'd ever have the courage to take a trip somewhere without my husband. I feel like I would just hole myself up in the hotel room and wish he was there to explore with me. I'm so happy that you did this! It looked so peaceful and restorative.
I've always done quite a bit of travelling by myself, and we both work from home together so sometimes it's nice to spend just a few days apart - that way I can spend longer in the gallery without dragging him around 😅❤️
It really is very nice if one can find another artist to talk to, either in person or even just online. It is very lonely because my other friends do not understand the struggle I face the way another artist can. I recently found an artist on Instagram whom I started talking to about our struggle with that app but I hope to find more friends I can talk to in the future. So happy that you have artist friends you can meet up in person! :)
omg the gallery was awesome. You should visit pakistan we have a lot of rich cultures with beautiful patterns ^w^ ~~ i really want to go to Australia and see the aboriginal art
Arr Mimi, this seems like such a calm way to work by taking some time away to create/explore! I'd love to do this one day, maybe to just do some sketches rather than paintings! 🙊🤎 Arr if you get the chance do let me know when you're in the UK! I would highly recommend the national gallery, London to see some beautiful, famous paintings! Not sure if you've ever been before but it's so lovely. I haven't been for ages. I must go again soon! ❤️ ~ Rachel x
I'm planning on spending quite a bit of time in the UK next year, let's go and do a gallery day in London together next summer! I've been to a few of the London galleries but I'm not sure if I've every actually been to the National Gallery.
@@MimimooIllustration Arr yes I would absolutely love that! Ooooh if you haven't been to the National Gallery then we must do that one as I think you'd just love it!!🙊😍😍❤️🤭

Oh amazing, that sounds great!
I recommend London, I love the National Gallery and of course there is so much more to see 😊
The thumbnail is so funny xD Cute aesthetic paints at the center, and a dead dog with its guts out peeking on the side. I laughed when I saw it.
Thank you for taking us out 😂😍 I really enjoyed seeing everything
Ok small item, but I love that even your Google calendar colors are on brand!
sometimes a pretty painting in a gallery is just a pretty painting 😀

I love a good gallery gift shop too! Thanks for sharing, it was nice to take a tiny trip to some place new.

Love your art and content. Big hello from the meander valley where I live with my husband and children. I didn't realise you lived in Tassie :)
Love all your videos, so I loved this one too 😂 I appreciate you take the effort in showing us around 🤗🙏🏻
And we have Autumn here. I’d rather had spring again 😅
Sounds like a relaxing but productive few days. I loved the beautiful works in the gallery!
I also need a kettle in my room 🤣 Launceston looks so beautiful!
Hmm maybe I should put a kettle in my room at home as well 😄❤️

Totally agree, having artist friends who understand how you feel is so nice to have!
Looks like a lovely trip! Really enjoy your videos 😊 x
It was such a nice time! 😊
Hii Mimi, I love your art😍 Your videos are inspiring me always. In my opinion is Rome one of the best place to visit :D
You should visit the city Arles in France. It is the place where Van Gogh spend his last years.
Oh that sounds amazing!
