      Thank you keep safe. I have seen a couple of deals for ender 3 on banggood. One of my followers got one for like £130 (not v2) which is a really good deal. Summer sale is on so do monitor these as it may pop in your price range. Fingers crossed

    That's amazing! It's great to see this stuff coming down in price and becoming more available to everyone! I look forward to the next video! I'm thinking about use cases for this. One that I think would be really handy would be to train a model on mine and my wife's car, stick the device in front of our garage, and then when it sees us pull up, it'll automatically open our garage for us.

    • @notenoughtech

      You could easily do that, plus train up faces.

    I could use this. I'm converting a 3 metre high ambulance into a campervan. I'd love to have a system that would look out for height restriction road signs and warn me (because it is easy to forget). If it could parse the text off the sign and check if my van will fit that'd be all the better.

    Very nice video. One of my sibling is blind and I am wondering if I can make a project where I can train this device on objects to be recognised and the device can pronounce the name of the recognised object, or tell about next person's emotion via face, or perhaps do OCR. Does this device has audio output? How long does the battery last?

    • @notenoughtech
      @notenoughtech  Год назад

      Hi, usually M5Stack devices come with a battery, but this one doesn't have one so it depends on the battery you'd attach to it. The basic object recognition would be able to do some classification for you, but you also need to work with distances. Object recognised far away would be little of use if there are others in vicinity.
      It's a very humble project and I hope you will find a way to resolve it

    • @HumbleHustle101
      @HumbleHustle101 Год назад

      @@notenoughtech Thanks I appreciate your appreciation. It seems there are 2 models of this device one is without wifi and the other one is with wifi. I plan to purchase the wifi one. But what I am specifically interested in is with the current hardware how many objects can I get to train it on? and secondly can I perform OCR are there any such libraries that I can use?

    • @notenoughtech
      @notenoughtech  Год назад +1

      There is not enough resolution and speed for OCR (other than the big signs like for cars). You don't want to have too many objects at once but focus on narrow field of view. Otherwise you get constantly spammed with text and messages. Record a walk with your sibling while you describe the things around him and get feedback at which are important to him. This will give you a rate and number of objects. You could easily get a couple at the same time... But I'd aim to do 2-3 at best while centered. This way head movement gives you approx heading for object.

    How likely could I create a system which logs the take-offs of planes with this? The goal would be to log aircraft registration (their "number plates") and take-off time. If this could be possible by just training it with lots of pictures of planes taking off, that would be very interesting.

    • @notenoughtech
      @notenoughtech  2 года назад +1

      You need better optics. You could train it in perhaps brand recognition based on patterns but with this resolution and optics you have no chance of ID planes in flight

    How can I capture the serial JSON information with Python? I tried connecting to it using pyserial like if it was an Arduino, but it doesn't work. I don't know what port or baud rate it is. I can connect to the camera through Putty, but I'm not familiar with ssh to know what to do with from there.
