I bought 2 of these around December. Out of the box 2 device ESPNow communication without setting anything up worked fine. Other then that i haven't tested anything. I cant wait till some custom fw come out from the community. Cant wait to see some builds for these devices. Great information in this video you did. Cant wait to hear more about the Cardputer.
That was an excellent video about this. I want to use one for IR to "my Pico-computers" - essentially PicoMites/MMBasic constructs. I learn so much at the moment with GPIO and electronics.
Could you please make a programmeble scientific calculator without seeing abnormal construction of standard calculator 😊 If you not able to published the video in public so keep it in link ❤ you deserve atlist 1 million subscribers and more 💯..
Basically, a ESP32-S3 with a cute case. And by cute, I mean, hard to type, hard to read, and will draw attention towards you, the moment you try to do some kiddie hack stuff with that thing. I will still buy it because it does look cute, but is not that "special". Just cute looking, but trivial ESP32-S3 thingie.
Hi ! i loved your video. As i am new to this kind of devices you should make a video with the best easy to istall projects and how to use them so we can use the cardputer. I think ot would be a great help for everyone if you could of course. Have a great day and cheers from Chile !
Thnx for your very informative videos! I liked so much your visit to M5Stack that (for starters) I got me the M5StickC +2, the Unit V2 and the Cardputer, wanted to ask what SD card do you need for the Cardputer? Also any plans doing a video for the Unit V2 AI camera? TY
I get mine soon...do you need to flash a memory chip with firmware or is the sd card for added storage meaning it has its own... is it useable right out of the box and how big a sd card can i use? Thanks
Very cool little device, though it is unfortunate that the base firmware as demonstrated does not have any system for loading programs from the SD card. If it had a simple interface for loading micropython programs, it would be significantly more usable.
Why do you need to install a separate program just to load the demo firmware? Can't they release the code so that you can study/modify it and then load it through the Arduino IDE?
Thanks for the video. A few questions. I uploaded one of the test programs to the m5 and it worked, but I wasn't sure how to shutdown the program. Does it overwrite whatever you have burned to the m5 when you upload the program? I had to reinstall the m5 launcher after as well. can you upload programs to an s3 card to run from there?
I was planning on making a macropad for my computer and I was wondering if this could be a option. In other words, could I sent keystrokes from this Cardputer to my Computer using the Wifi/Bluetooth/IOT port? If this is possible how could I do it? Help is appreciated!
I put UI flow on my cardputer and it cannot be removed . the building interface is a hot mess 😅 . It refuses to let me do anything with it . I liked mine until that happened.😅
I have one myself, now i cant get it to turn on any more... was trying to put firmware on it now i get a can not connect error message when using m5burner... how do i fix it? Ty
Hi, congratulation for your video, it's amazing. But I have a problem and would like to know if you could help me. I recently bought 2 M5stack Stamp S3 to use in my robots but I can't manage to program it. I use VSCode and PlatformIO and don't want to change to arduino IDE. Could you teach how to program this boards with VSCode?? Thanks for your videos, they help ALOT.
Smartphones can do better in usual cases, but since every popular OS is going to leak your most private data, maybe some apps that won’t on this pocketable device.
No one has shown what the charger looks like or discussed it in ANY of the videos for this. How do you charge this ? USB C ? Or that weird 5v connector with the switch on it ? If so where. doyou get that charger for that weird 5 way ?I hope it charges off USB C.
you can hook a usb to serial cable to it and log into a router, network switch, hardware firewall or server management system or basically anything that has a serial port in a data center for example and use console to run commands in said devices. great if you have that but not your laptop on you or in case of emergencies. also a variety of sensors you can use on it and read from LORA devices work on it for communication and automation, they make one that works perfectly on this thing. some wifi analyzation built in, apps can be improved upon for this and bluetooth, again good for automation. 30 bucks
@@jco997 not as cool and cant read sensors with a cell phone without some work. this thing can take the 20 plus sensors that M5 makes. Cant SSH into anything using a USB cable without root in most cases. No cell phone OS is safe either without at least a root.
Thank you for mentioning my RUclips channel. Great video!
Love your stuff @Volosprojects!!! You’re a wizard
I'll look into your channel I may have to make a video about your channel
A very complete and capable tinkering toy!! I think we all wished to have something like this when we started esp32.

Nice video, can you add a LoRa module and run Meshtastic firmware, keep up the good work. God bless.

Man, I just wish this had a LoRa radio integrated. This would have made an amazing LoRa Messenger
Very helpful and informative!
really informative video! Keep up the great work!
Than you for the walk through!!
Please make video on flipper zero because that is also fun to use it can clone RFIDs and can do NFC signals.
love your content from China!

The main advantage of this case is the huge battery, and the aesthetics.

Im curious if the m5 stack lora module was added to the card computer, if and how well it would work with meshtastic.
it was as far as i can tell.
this thing is so cool! i do want to get one, and make some cool code with it.
Good video, many thanks. Subscribed.

Not useful to idiots
Yeah - it needs a bigger screen and a bigger keyboard and a bigger power supply and a better processor and a graphics card and - oh wait....
