thank you for for this tutorial. i was searching for a teacher to teach traditional wrapping like this and all the others i found were teaching how to use glue and paper slips. I wanted NONE of this and wanted to wrap with only the wrap. today i wrapped my first one and it came out a spectacle, i followed your tutorial on it and i thank you. 🙏
Phenomenal set of vids... of course I wouldn't mind talking it through, but THANK YOU for not having irritating music. The end knots at the tuska gashira are what always baffled me... I like the way you did it slow enough and zoomed in enough to see exactly what's going on... now, I need to find a little hook tool to pull the ito back through like you did!
I know it’s a couple years late but in case someone else needs to find one as well, looks like a small enough crochet hook will work just fine. My guess would be a 0.60-1.0 mm hook
could not tell what you where doing at all and its a low quality video mixed with absolutely no instruction ive been trying for hours and can't fix my katana if anybody can ive me a better video please let me know
Ive been looking for this exact procedure! Excellent block of instruction, thank you!
EXTREMELY helpful, thank you SO much!

What is that hook tool called and where do I can buy one?
It's crochet hook, it's sold on ebay.
This is great but can you name the tools you used and/or send links to all the materials since they’re not easy to find
😊
I like, very good
That tsuka i have it but blue lazuli
I may certainly hope that now, 8 years later, you instructed your tsukamaki-shi to alternate the hishi... This is not how it supposed to be!
Thx
What type of skin is used in a katana sword?
it's rayskin. But if you're zoophilist, we can use fake rayskin made of plastic.
Ray skin usually
Thank you!!!

One question: what for? (do not answer "OH you don't understand nothing!" I do but what for???)
❤❤❤Só tem que ter muita paciência..
I just spent lightyears wrapping just to have the knotting the wrong side i don’t even care anymore bruh
Sorry but the way you tie the Ura knot is so wrong
Why is there no sound should be able to hear you explaining how and what your doing.
All you need to do is look closely. Watch again as needed. The final knot Will take a bit of practice.
Either you must know Japanese or you really need a good ears to understand there damn difficult English accent.
