Of course she could've lost weight again since then, actually i assume she did, but that means it has definitely changed at some point "canonically". -Just like how Noel actually grew to a Lord-cup at some point...-

@@thejamesonthestreet I don't know much about laws in general, let alone Japanese laws, but she got fired (essentially), and I don't think there's anything legally preventing Cover from bringing her back if both parties agree, unless she's blacklisted from the company for whatever reason.
Now they likely wouldn't bring back a terminated talent for PR reasons, but that's a separate issue.
@MFAN1100 you are correct, should Cover and Mel enter into a brand new agreement, they theoretically could sign her back, subject to Japanese law, of course. But, I've never encountered a law that forbade that.
And yes, it would most likely down to PR. Mel evidently breached her contract. Signing her back would not sit well in front of the public.
@@thejamesonthestreet If I'm being honest, I personally wouldn't mind if Mel came back, but then there's a precedent set that breaching NDA is forgivable (which is why Mel left in the first place, so that wouldn't be a thing, as far as I remember), and I think most of the PR stuff would deal with other companies and the professional sphere, rather than the fans themselves, except for potentially some people complaining about Rushia, though her breach was far worse from what I know.
I feel like most fans would be ok with it or wouldn't really care either way, except for some outliers, but maybe I'm being optimistic.
@MFAN1100 me too! After all, she wasn't done it out of malice. If anything, we all know that she could be a bit, y'know, pon. It was proven by how regretful Yagoo, A-chan, etc as the top management when they have to let Mel go.
But, as I said, re-signing your former employee you fired for something that they have done, perhaps not a good look for that company in the eye of the general public, especially potential investor. Fans however, would be overjoyed, even if she didn't return as "Yozora Mel"
