A lot do. This was one of the last eras of true musicianship. And with the resurgence of 80s music, bands like this are getting re-discovered again. It's fantastic! But all the big bands still touring or reformed of late sound fantastic!
I am just glad to know that they are still around. God bless🙏 The Hooters. One of the most unusual unconventional and underestimated Power Rock band in the world.
A very tight and talented band from my youth growing up in the 1980's and they have only gotten better like a fine wine! I love hooters 😳 I mean I love the hooters.
That song is about the love between an American soldier and a German woman from East Berlin in the 1950s. He eventually managed to smuggle her into West Berlin in the trunk of a car by speeding under the ramp at checkpoint.
My brother (a Hooters fanatic) turned me on to this he was playing it in his car! (Well just the audio portion he has RUclips music.)I didn’t even know the Hooters wrote songs like One of Us that were made hits by others were actually written by hooters members.or that they could sing in German ! Awesome!
Fantastic concert from one of the best bands ever! They have written so many good songs over the years. It is sad to see that they are only touring now in a few countries, when they should be huge all over the world.
Wow -- what a concert!! and talk about bringing back memories of days gone by... I first heard this band on WMMR FM way back in the day and was hooked immediately. I love they way they blend multiple genres -- rock, classical, Irish trad, American Folk/Old Time, to name a few -- and diverse instrumentation into a sound that is unique and utterly brilliant. The level of musical talent and diversity on stage is truly inspiring. For many years, I've felt that this band doesn't get the recognition it deserves -- at least in the United States. Good to see them performing so brilliantly for an appreciative audience. I loved every second of this video -- thank you for the many years of musical excellence. May you have many more.
I lived in South Jersey in the 80's and would see them live all the time. Always a great show! Funny, they sound even better today. Thx for posting this.
Thankyou Germany for the appreciation and fans they so deserve. Hard working, diverse, creative, fun, like a well oiled machine. So proud these gents are from my home town. Eric's shirt says it all, " Philly Against Everybody" God bless Germany and it's beautiful people. Rock on forever.
I'm happy that The Hooters come to Europe and especially to Germany every year. They are so good live, even after all these years. I'm always surprised that they don't have much appeal in the USA outside of Philadelphia, or am I mistaken?
I first saw them live in 1987, opening for Bryan Adams at Shoreline in Mountain View. Fantastic concert. Saw them again at the same amphitheatre in 1989. Kinda lost touch with them until 2010, when I heard one of their recent songs: I'm Alive. Great song. I heard about their huge success in Europe. Hard to believe that it's been 40 years since they started out, but they still got it.
This concert was AWESOME! These guys are outstanding!!! I always liked their hits back in the 80's...but I didn't realize until now just how many other great songs they have...and they still sound super tight as a band...both musically and vocally. I am SO GLAD that I stumbled upon this video. Now I have to find out where their touring... and GO to a show!!!
such a fun to see this band playing!!!after all these years....they have so much fun on the stage and the sound is great!!!thx Hooters! greetings from Germany
Damn! Amazing! You guys sound better than any band from the 80s performing now! I hope I get to see you soon, phenomenal! Ok I just added this part of the comment, since I saw this video I've invested in a trip from SC to see see you guys at the Keswick Theater in Philly. I've been listening to your music everyday and I'm so excited to see you finally live in your hometown! 👊🏻🤘💪🔥
HOOTERS... the best gig ever ! greetings from the "magic guy", eric cigarret in tshirt was cool, eye ?! or the coin in the coke-tin... yup... this coke tin was really a mess (nut it is always ;) ).... thax for helping, bro :P
The Hooters: Plenty of strong, actually only strong and no weak own songs. "Karla with a K", "My Love comes in Colors", "One Way Home", "Nervous Nights", "All you Zombies"... Also: "Time after Time" for Cindy Lauper. And The Hooters can and love to play.
It was co-written by Cindy Lauper and Rob Hyman, so they share the copyright. Cindy Lauper sang some other songs with them (Boys will be boys, my favorite).
the background vocals sound like they are precorded or if they are live then there is some in-between from the mic to the PA , some sort of pitch fixer. Because 10 minutes in and every note has been perfect. And no, it's not the band. The best band with vocal harmonies would have had one syllable off pitch at least by now.
The Hooters are the most ignored great band of all time. So good.
I can see and hear why they are ignored.

Not yer speed, huh Champ?
Like some of their songs really deserve more praise then they got seriously
The most under-rated rock band of the 80s.

Gave me chills 👍 not so many rock bands from the 80's can still sound this great
Very true
Been watching the Hooters in concert since ‘81 - they always deliver and more
A lot do. This was one of the last eras of true musicianship. And with the resurgence of 80s music, bands like this are getting re-discovered again. It's fantastic! But all the big bands still touring or reformed of late sound fantastic!
I saw them about a year & a half ago.....in the Philly area( their hometown & mine) & they are still fantastic!
I am just glad to know that they are still around. God bless🙏 The Hooters. One of the most unusual unconventional and underestimated Power Rock band in the world.
unbelievable watching a band play in 1986 then 5 minutes later watching them in 2019
A very tight and talented band from my youth growing up in the 1980's and they have only gotten better like a fine wine! I love hooters 😳 I mean I love the hooters.
Still One of My Favourite Bands of '80s, Shout Out from Taiwan!
I miss Mindy.... Seen their last two shows in California, and will see the next two. Miss her on 24 hours a day.
When they performed "Karla With A K" & they all came to the edge of the stage playing..that was beyond awesome!
That song is about the love between an American soldier and a German woman from East Berlin in the 1950s. He eventually managed to smuggle her into West Berlin in the trunk of a car by speeding under the ramp at checkpoint.
Shockingly good-should be in the R&R Hall Of Fame.
I understand the sentiment but the Rock Hall of Fame is a total farce at this point, so it is probably best they are not in that company.
Incredible live performance from a very talented band. Brings back memories.

One of the most favorite bands of my youth! Thanks and cheers from Brazil!
Just got home from seeing them in Pennsylvania. They were great
Fantastic concert from one of the best bands ever! They have written so many good songs over the years. It is sad to see that they are only touring now in a few countries, when they should be huge all over the world.
What a Band. Fan since early eighties and saw them yesterday for the 2nd time live. It was outstanding

I like how damned near all of them play the melodica/hooter; what a fitting name.
Wow, they've gotten even better with time. Great stuff.
These guys are rock stars in Europe just wish they would play more in the states
They're from Philadelphia, where they constantly are playing.
True!
I saw them at three concerts Last week in Germany.
These guys are great ❤
I lived in South Jersey in the 80's and would see them live all the time. Always a great show! Funny, they sound even better today. Thx for posting this.

One of my favorite bands! Saw them live a couple of times. I was sorry when Andy King left the band, but Fran has done very well.

It was co-written by Cindy Lauper and Rob Hyman, so they share the copyright. Cindy Lauper sang some other songs with them (Boys will be boys, my favorite).

Love this but the sound engineer could have done much better with the audio on the lead vocals.
How it calls the song that sings over minute 1:35:00
Peter Schilling - Major Tom
Who can tell me the title of the closing song? The one that start at 1h.34min
Pissing in the Rhine from the EP Five by five from 2010.
@@0sthyveln Thanks, I think I got the minute wrong, I meant the one they sing right after Pissing in the Rhine.
@@MarcoAbbina That is a cover of Peter Schillings "Major Tom".
@@0sthyveln thank you!!!
Why only 360p, bro? That should be criminal.

I hate jealous, egoistic old mens, because one day they will die and let me stand alone! If they don't let me have friends...
@silk...4627
Shaddup!
They can if they lips involve moving with no sound and pre recorded!! Just saying!
The Hooters are too serious a band for such a thing.
Maravilloso
