It is early Sunday morning and I am watching more of your videos to stay awake. My mother has dementia and wakes up in the night and wanders thru the house in the dark. I have been staying here with my parents to take care of them since October. Your videos help keep me from going insane from missing kids to missing being outside driving trucks and operating equipment so thanks.
Mike I love how you put your truck driver friend on the spot. " Don't worry I am just going to video you tail gating rock. That way ALL your buddies can see it and give you grief about it." LOL Good job on the drive. I wish I had that base gravel/dirt here. My lane is low with limestone bluff rock on each side just under the grass. I need a cheap filler. Also need to tease you too. That JD 110 is a TL for you most of the time. The "B" gets left off too often. LOL So Not really a TLB. Now with all those letters I am craving a BLT for lunch. LOL Have a good weekend Mike. Go hit the water slide a few times.
Hi Mike. Just goin thru some of your older videos. I think that's the first time I've seen you use the 110. I may be wrong. It looks nice, and a fun machine. Thank you Mike for the videos. Blessings to you. Ed from Chicago 🙂
I'm giving you 2 thumbs up on this job Mike! Well done with material that can be challenging to spread. Your dump-truck driver did a good job as well. Enjoy your weekend, work safe Doug@ the "ranch"
That rock hanging in the bed reminded me of the last gravel I had delivered to my house. I have a decent hill up the driveway and the rock hung like yours did. The driver never let out of it and was hammer down all the way. I was a little concerned when the front wheels of the dump truck got about 2 feet off the ground. I thought he was going to turn the truck over but he did good and survived. Lol. I need a grader like you have. That make driveway maintenance easy.
Wow, Mayor, you use a land plane and use it correctly! My hero! It's the only implement specifically made to care for gravel roads and drives. I've used one for over 10 yrs, actually wore the skids off it and had to have it repaired. Nothing can top it for gravel surface care. Thanks for showing others how good a plane can work.
@@DirtPerfect when I wear this one out, I call mine a "gravel sled", I plan to get one from Everyuthing Attachments (check out their site and vids). I have a couple of their implements/attachments and find them to be quality products, well though out and well engineered. (Not affliated in any way other than as a customer) The have all manner of stuff for tractos and skid steers. Free shiiping, too. Really liked the drive work. Raising the level to drain better.was a great idea.
Your little John always impresses. You strike me as a fellow who gets attached to his old machines , Logger Wades that way lol . I am too. Lol.I've never traded off any of my John Deere tractors , never had a reason too. I have 5 now. . Sorry for blowing.buddy . Thanks for showing.
Man!! Your recent videos are hitting home for me. My 2018 Kubota SVL95-2 just quit the other day with 110 hours on it and the dealer thinks something internal such as connecting rod or position failure. Seeing you tear into your SVL solidified my concerns of how tight it is in there. Been thinking about getting a 35-40 hp tractor for a while to take care of my road and do some small projects that my SVL could do pretty quick looks like a trade may been my future... I have been watching videos on the grader scraper and this was exactly what I was looking for. Great job!!
Wish you still had the 110 I always liked those. My dad has a 401C with 3pt PTO and backhoe. When I was using it regularity I could have it off or on in 15 min.
Love my land plane. That thing sure has made me some money boy, good job on driveway. What you call chirt we call pit gravel in South Carolina. Water just sheds off it. My secret weapon on driveway jobs
Those 110's were/are nice tractors the way you can put different attachments on them. So is there a roller out there with only one drum on it? In the 80's Raygo made a pull behind roller that had a gas motor on it. Contractors used it to tow behind dozers. It came with a smooth drum model and pad foot model. Raygo was later bought by Cat and that is how Cat started selling rollers.
Nice! I do driveways for a living with my little B26 TLB and use a landplane. I haven’t seen any other businesses use it besides home owners. I haven’t recently drilled a couple holes so I can adjust the blades from -0.5 to 3.5 inches. I found the stock max height of 1inch not quite high enough when spreading clear rock.
Yeah those tractors don't like loose gravel much. I used to drive one on a haunted hay ride, and I used to get stuck at the "sawmill" there was a grade that kept getting gutted out by rains, the bosses had it filled in with gravel and it was worse still.
the 110 TBL was a good around machine -IMO-and jd just had to quit building them. have u had any trouble with the love joy connections as of yet? they wear out fast what i have seen. their up front-is what runs the hyd. pump.seems that was a weak point in them. so now we know how u was able to get Logger Wades and ur road black topped-u said u would do the rolling -huh. ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!! great video-thanks.
I love your videos. Just a few ideas. - The sound of the machines is way louder than your talking. Try to turn their noise down a little - If it a a repetitive step, think about a fast forward and maybe put music on, instead the machine noise Beside from that, I really enjoy your work and your videos!
I see you have a problem getting close to the edge of the driveway without having your rear tire eat up the grass, have you thought of changing the tounge angle so the roller sticks out past either the righ side or the left side and then you can get right to the edge of the driveway and not have to worry about collateral damage. Great videos as always.
@@DirtPerfect yes it would, i am all red clay here, i put a foot of pit run, witch is sand and rocks stones, what ever comes out of the bank, on the clay base i built up ditching both sides, tracked it in then put down landscape fabric and 10" of road gravel, been here over 30 years, still like the day i put it in, over 1800 feet long 24 feet wide

Nice videos and very good job on the driveway. Love all your vids especially the john deere 120 videos. I recently started my own company with a komatsu pc120-6 excavator and a cat 420D backhoe. We had something like that at a golf course for building cart paths.
I am set at 1” thanks for watching guys
I commented before finishing the video. You prefer reverse as the machine is driving on levelled ground?
@@paybax I have a B26 as well. Great little machine. What size Land Plane do you pull behind it? I'm guessing a 60" (5').

Great job considering you didn't have a real grader. Does the vibe on that drum work?

Dont it suck trying to top driveways. Materials just want to keep pouring off the edge. When grading it out. Looks good
