Time for the best Sonic series character to get the spotlight and starting things off with easily one of my favourite stages of this game. Awesome! 0:39 - Man, just blitzing through this level. Stellar short hops and narrow dodges of all these spikes. 2:42 - Given the current event and the zone that follows, both this line and the title makes a ton of sense. I do happen to love pinball though. 5:29 - This is my favourite part of the level; very much reminds me of Windy Valley. Surprising they featured this all one level and didn't have this part as an Act 2 for this Zone. 7:09 - An this is why this Zone isn't my favourite. The boss battles in this game kind of suck; lots of waiting around which drags out the boss fights. Rather untypical of a Sonic game. 9:31 - Fun fact; that robot is actually the same robot used in the multiplayer side mode of this game. If you customised your robot using the coins/medals you've earned, the robot here will match what you have customised. 12:43 - There's the coin... or at least a coin. Funny how much of this act you've talked about a coin and finally found one towards the end. 14:16 - Oh wow; I didn't realise you could hit this clown mini-boss that fast, before he has chance to summon the switches and become invulnerable. That's a cool detail to know. 17:20 - Not even playing as Sonic and you're all about the speed. The two Pinball Carnival Zone acts are also amongst my favourites and the Halloween theme they go for Act 2 is a fun twist. 20:24 - Oooh, unfortunate. At least you got the checkpoint this time though. 22:12 - An safe! In a rare occasion, being one of the flying/gliding characters here is actually a detriment, as you need to only jump in this roller-coaster section. 23:19 - Through the fire and flames and even the spikes. You're determined to hit Eggman as quick as possible. 24:21 - If you wanted a modern game with pinball acts (or rather, being a pinball game with an adventure story element to it), then you should check out Yoku's Island Express. 27:27 - An once again, the problem is solved by just tanking through the attacks and flying in for early hits. 30:02 - Or you can slip through like that, which speeds up the process a good amount. The character specific levels are some of the better designed ones in this game (though a little annoying when playing multiplayer and suddenly you're in a single player only level). 30:44 - Agreed; her modern design is better in my opinion. I especially like the style of her hair... or I guess it'd be quills, and the simple red dress works better than the two vibrant and strong green and orange combination that she has for her classic design. 33:41 - I love how quickly your feelings towards your 'new best friend' changes when you realise she robs you of your double jump. 38:17 - Bullet's easily one of the highlights when it comes to the Chaos Emerald powers. It'd be awesome to see a watered down version appear as a natural part of a Sonic character's move-set in a future 2D platform Sonic game. 40:10 - Didn't even touch the water that time. You flied too high and too fast for it. 42:12 - These boss battles are so tedious that the emerald powers are there to save you from it.
