1Ans: Queen Elizabeth-1 in England, Henry 4 in France and Abraham Lincoln were the leaders who were able to mix knowledge and wisdom soundly as they remained free from the errors of their time and were beneficent and effective.
2Ans: the true aim of education is the ability to find an impartial solution, be it in personal or public ways. the ability to make a man aware about the need to integrate wisdom in our knowledge.
3Ans: Wisdom is necessary in education because having only knowledge leads to its misuse as one cannot perceive its true purpose in life.If one can take into account the capacity to suppress his personal ego and take into account all the facts and figures, it would greatly benefit him.

1Ans: the essence of wisdom is the ability to be free from the here and now, that is, to be able to escape from focusing exclusively on the present and thus freeing ourselves from our ego. Russell states that while complete impartiality would be impossible, a high degree of impartiality is possible if we gain enough knowledge.
2Ans:understanding the meaning of something alone does not constitute wisdom. One must also be aware of the result and effect of one’s knowledge. Russell had reprimanded many renowned people in history, who were considered to be very knowledgeable but in reality were deprived of sound wisdom and thus had damaging consequences.

1Ans: Wisdom is important in the context of the egoism of human because our sight, sound and touch are bound up to our body and cannot be impersonal. Our emotion starts similarly from ourselves. For example, an infant, gradually with years, widens his thoughts and feelings and achieve growing wisdom.
2Ans:Russell holds the four factors that contribute to wisdom and enumerates various ways of achieving it.
A sense of proportion:It refers to the ability to judge the relative importance of things; to get a comprehensive view of a problem carefully.
Comprehensiveness:understanding everything from all sides- the causes, result and effect; being able to bring together a wide range of concepts and see how they all fit together.
Emancipation:having the ability to be free from focusing solely on the present and freeing ourselves from our ego.
Impartiality:having an awareness of human feelings and needs,free from narrow mindedness and personal prejudice.
3Ans: According to Russell, wisdom should be taught as a goal of education. He takes the example of the parable of the “Good Samaritan”. knowledge is not separated from moral values.
4Ans: Russell says that Hegel’s philosophy of history was lacking in wisdom, because he was only dealing with his personal facts and figure. He wrote with great knowledge about history, but made the Germans believe that they were a master race, and this false sense of pride made them go to war.
When a person who is an intellectual, uses his knowledge to display his theory or principles without considering the feelings or the results of such ideas, it could lead to more harm than good.
5Ans: Bertrand Russell talks about how having only knowledge without wisdom can harm our progress in life. knowledge is the acquisition of data and information, while wisdom is defined as the practical application and use of the knowledge to create value. wisdom is gained through learning and practical experience, not just by memorization.To Russell, a wise person possesses both insight and foresight. A clever person responds to the exterior change quickly, but a wise man penetrates the changes and makes the right decision.
6Ans:the more capable one becomes, the capacity of evil increases correspondingly. If the root is good and our spirits are truly well directed, the impact would be hugely positive. However, if we are motivated by selfish reasons, our capacity to have a negative impact also increases highly. wisdom, therefore, is to act out of compassion and understanding and not out of fear and compulsion.

1Ans: He talks about how a very intelligent person’s knowledge can become harmful when his knowledge is exercised without wisdom. in history, great personalities,with their knowledge had caused harm. Speaking of Historian Hegel who wrote with great knowledge but made the Germans believe that they were a master race, led to war. We begin to understand and comprehend how such potential knowledge has escalated to something so harmful. he gives the example of science and technological advancement, both positive as well as negative results, where much have been utilized to create weapons rather than for the good of mankind.
2Ans: Wisdom can be taught as a goal of education in school along with knowledge. he warns his readers about the danger of hatred and narrow-mindedness and be free from selfishness, and that Knowledge and wisdom can be combined in the scheme of education.
Wisdom can be learnt by thinking of other people’s feeling and by giving up our ego.
