I have a vintage three inch flick knife with a three inch bayonet blade. I posted a photograph of my feline wielding such a weapon on Instagram whilst she relaxed in her bed. Came out quite nicely if I do say so myself. 🙈😄
Very nice well put together collection. The pearl swing is so pretty, as is the 9. I too like the false edge swedge. The first one you opened is very early transitional. I bet it is fully lined and D stamped. Gorgeous.
After so many years since this video came out I still love these knives and ofcourse sweet little kitty cat❤. How's he or she doing, I hope she/ he's alright or in heaven....lots of love for you from the Netherlands ❤😺❤
Very nice collection! I love switchblades especially the swing guard knives but they're hard to find, when you do find them they're really expensive, especially a good quality knife.
beautiful, love all those shiny swedge grinds, you've given them a serious polish I see! I have a bobc 8" rostfrei 4 and a 7" Bargeon in my trans collection so far.
DevilDust I actually never clean the knives. I keep them the way I find them... since this video I have added dozens of vintage Italian knives to my collection . some are tarnished and look aged... some are new old stock and look like they were made yesterday.. but none of them have ever seen a speck of polish. the internals tend to be pretty dark and tarnished
Nice collection and cool cat. I miss the only knife of this style I ever had. I bought it in Mexico off of a bartender. It had real pearl handles. That was back in the 70's. and I miss that blade. Even if I could find one like it today, I imagine it would be very pricey. I'm currently in the market for one Italian style stilletto, and interested also in various OTF autos. Anyone?
Nice collection you have! In my collection of knives is a six inch vintage flick knife. Three inch horn handle with three inch bayonet blade that is stamped "INOX" on one side and "FBR Italy" on the other. It has a one piece leaf spring. Do you perhaps have an idea as to why they ever made some flick knives so small?
Hi. I have an old switchblade that says made in Italy and nothing else. I have no idea how to identify it or if it really is made in Italy. It was given to me by my grandfather and he carried it as a teenager and says he thinks he bought it in the 50s or 60s so I do know that it is quite old. But that's all I know. If you know any way to identity the knife or know someone who could help it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Also, I'm jealous of your collection. You have some very beautiful knives here!
+Damon Joseph hey thanks!! I just wish I could find some sort of manufacturing detail to see who made it. Do you know if there were any like "off brand" Italian manufacturers? All the vintage ones I've seen from collectors have manufacturing marks so I'm wondering if it's a cheaper Italian model that was never marked. Not planing on selling, just trying to find out more about something that has been in the family for quite a long time. Thanks again!
That second stag knife you opened, what is the maker? Is it B Raschel? I acquired one like that at an Estate Sale this weekend, can't find any info on it. The maker mark looks like it was engraved on the one I got and as far as I can tell it says B Raschel
I have one that looks exactly like the 6th one, and it says made in china, its funny tho because everything on mine seems like it was made with pride because nothing is loose or cheap about it
Serpent no...u don't. the knife u have is a modern production Chinese made cheap copy of an Italian stiletto. these knives are originals... made in Italy in the late 50s and early 60s.. most of them cost between 150 and 400 bucks if you can find them in good condition . you have a newly made Chinese copy
Please define vintage. Not criticizing but most of these appear to be modern stainless replicas - especially those with the floppy guards. Dare we guess the earliest date of any of these?
I must confess I am very envious of your wonderful collection sir. Thank you for taking the time to show your knives. They are very nice.
tubeloverforsure you should see the collection now... I have dozens upon dozens and have sold some really rare ones I wish I kept
@@rossm9413are still some of them available??
My cats like to borrow my stiletto knives when they go out at night, I never ask why .
XD
It's because of my dog, he carries a real knife.....

Why
@@Morgan_T31 Because cats and flick knives are a bad combo. 😄
There is a longer version of this video where he just keeps taking out switchblades until he fills his entire house with them

it's most likely a vintage Italian stiletto because back then nobody was making fakes or replicas yet

Evan Shaw I have one just the same part from INOX printed on the other side of the blade but I'm pretty sure that's something to do with the steel
Evan Shaw if you invite me to chat on RUclips I could help you figure out some stuff about the knife

Vintage? Maybe I'm confused, cause from what I saw, there were a lot of modern knives in the mix?
Where can one find vintage Italian stilettos? And how can you verify if it is vintage?
